« Good rate but old »

Generally the hotel is average, good rate but everything looks old especially in the room. Received a sms for picking room card, the room was not even ready when I was back to hotel after 30 mins. The staff told me to wait for another 30 and she said she would get the card to me but she didn’t until I asked her colleague to follow up. That was disappointed!

I have stayed at Pullman Bangkok Hotel G several times, whether in the all-white room as well as in the brown-wood room. As far as I remember, I always had good experience. This time, I felt there was a minor decline, not major, but noticeable. ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN Arrival and check-in process was smooth even though I didn't use online check-in. The front desk staffs were friendly, hospitable, full of smile, yet still very professional and knew what they were doing to deliver the best customer experience. They even recognised my membership status and delivered a welcome "snacks" to my room (mango sticky rice and fresh coconut), which was amazing and much appreciated. THE LOCATION Although the location may not as "strategic" (in terms of close proximity to train station); however, it was not that far either to the nearest BTS station (Chong Nonsi; about 5-7 min walk depends on your speed) or to Sala Daeng BTS station (about 8-10 min walk). Since Sala Daeng is at the center of Silom area, walking here felt closer since you had more to see. THE ROOM The room was clean and maintained well with an all-white look and feel. The bed was huge and comfortable, AC was in good condition that I could set the temperature and fan, lighting was great, wide floor-to-ceiling window, TV (although it wasn't full HD but it has enough variety of channels), speaker system (it wasn't the new one since it still connect with iPod/iPhone devices with the older 30-pin wide charging and not the lightning version that wasn't compatible but you can ask them for an adapter), good-speed WiFi, water bottles, and with complete in-room amenities (water boiler, coffee, tea, in-room slippers, bathrobes, safety box, etc). Bathroom was spacious with separated shower and bathtub, spacious vanity area, lots of mirrors, good lighting, good operational water heater, and complete with extensive amenities. I liked the way they designed the universal power socket blended into their furnitures (side tables and working desk); however, it wasn't as functional as I hoped to be (since the grip wasn't strong thus my adapter was easily detached by the slightest touch, and the ones in the working desk are too close to each other so I could only plugged one adapter). One thing about the room was the door. There was quite a gap under the door; therefore, the lights from outside came in to the room when I turned the lights off to sleep (I like total darkness) and it also traveled the sound from outside into the room, which could be disturbing. THE SERVICE (HOUSEKEEPING) I forgot if Pullman Bangkok Hotel G had turn-down service in the past, but I thought that 5-star hotels have that. It wasn't a big deal but it could be a nice touch, especially for customers who have experience staying in 5-star hotels before. Service in general was amazing. However, there was inconsistency in housekeeping department. I stayed there for 3 nights. The first morning, the housekeeping finished making up the room quite early because I returned to my room before lunch and the room was clean. They replenished my water bottles from 2 bottles to 4 bottles (maybe it was beyond their normal one), which was appreciated given how warm Bangkok was. However, the small towel on the vanity desk was only one (not two). I didn't need two but it was noticeable. I also admire that they didn't replace the big towel that I hung for environmental purpose. They also replenished the shower amenities (shower gel, etc). However, for the second morning, the housekeeping was not as early. I returned to my room almost at the same time as the morning before and the room wasn't ready. When I returned around 4pm, I found that they replaced my big towel with new one but they didn't replenish the amenities (shower gel, etc). They also didn't replenish the coffee, creamer, sugar, and tea. They replenished the water bottles back to 2, which probably the standard. These might be minor but in any services (hospitality industry of a 5-star especially), consistency of good service and attention to details is key. BREAKFAST Very good selection with quality. The staffs were very hospitable as helpful as well. Kudos to them. DEPARTURE/CHECK-OUT Smooth check-out process and considerably fast too. SUMMARY As mentioned in the title, attention to details is key. I don't know if I should say it's an area of improvement since Pullman Bangkok Hotel G is a 5-star. These should be a standard and no longer an improvement. It may be minor and insignificant but it's important to stay prominent in the market.

Great welcome with a personalized welcome card and nibbles deivered to my room right after I checked in. Just one little hiccup on my last morning breakfast at the excecutive lounge when I had to wait 45 min for my poached eggs and finally had to cancel the order and leave not to be late for my meeting.

Check in was not the best due to an ignorant guest and only 1 person at front desk until a few minutes later. Happy to get upgraded rooms from 2 single to 1 King but not so happy the room looks older than the pictures. I guess the hotel had undergone renovations with some rooms and the main lobby but not all. Could feel hip when entering the hotel and old when being in the room

This is the second time we have used Pullman Hotel G as the venue for our career trainings. The location was easy to get to, the rooms were very well equipped, the staff were highly attentive. As part of the package, I was also allocated a room on the 22nd floor and I loved the size of the room, the view of the city skyline and the overall clean feel. Will definitely continue to use Pullman Hotel G for our future workshops.

Thank you to Sofie Liu whom was very prompt in her reply to my last minute request for an Industry Rate and the coordination in getting my room reservation confirmed very efficiently. The hotel is trendy and team provided the services to match the brand promise of the hotel. The room is spacious and bed is really comfortable. I would like to extend my appreciation to the team at Front Office and Executive Club Lounge for the warm welcome. The team there is personable and charming and I would like to thank the manager at the Executive Club Lounge who assisted with my check-out on Sunday, July 7 around 7 am. He is charming and engaging and it completed our stay at the hotel an enjoyable one.

the Hotel Housekeeping managed to sneak into my room and cleared up all my stuff WITHOUT my consent. Please note the “Do Not Disturb” sign was promptly hang outside the door and inform that i already check out early morning and pack all my stuff in to lost and found I have filed a complaint with manager and was told investigation will be carry out but till date no one has get back to me.It was an implied term that the accommodation provided would be of a certain standard of Accor and quality reasonably to be expected from this type and price of hotel.

Not my first stay at the Pullman G, but this time was probably the best. I had the pleasure to meet new faces, and I have to say the level of service, which was quite high, went further up. From the lobby to the executive lounge, the staff tried hard to make me feel special. Special thanks to Khun Koi, who went above and beyond, and lent me her personal umbrella because the umbrellas the hotel provides guests with had run out. Also, many thanks to Khun Grape and her team at the lounge.

This was our first visit to this particular hotel and it definitely won’t be our last. We stayed in an executive room which gave us access to the facilities on the 27th floor. All the staff in that area were brilliant, but we have to say a big thank you to Vincent & Sean for making us feel so special. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Chong Nonci BTS which gives you great access around Bangkok, so there is no need to contend with the traffic. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed it thoroughly, the room was fantastically big, the breakfast fantastic although after the 5th day it would have been nice to have a different variety to chose from. The facilities are superb. The only real criticism is that often the lobby was overcrowded. Maybe you could think of having a different area for receiving guests instead of just having one entrance for everything, too many people waiting, becomes noisy and uncomfortable.

It was a pleasant stay. Complete with amenities, breakfast is good! people are warm, prompt service. I left my eye glass and when I returned its instantly given by the receptionist. The only problem is the cable signal on the television, we were not able to enjoy a good movie. But the internet was good though. Thanks
