Our stay for for our 21st Wedding Anniversary as I mentioned earlier. Our three day stay was met by the Sofitel staff with exemplary service, courtesy and an overall outstanding experience. For our anniversary evening and dinner out - I took my wife to your in-hotel restaurant, Renoir. The experience of that evening was simply stellar. Our server suggested a brilliant wine pairing and the following five course chef's choice was a tour-de-force of exceptional cuisine and taste experiences. I travel world-wide a lot on business, and entertain many clients in many expensive restaurants. Renoir is, simply put, likely the best restaurant I have experienced. My wife said that this was the best time-away / vacation we have had since our honeymoon. We will be coming again not too long in the future !

I regularly stay with you when visiting Montreal and am always happy. One thing though - I was surprised that the free drink for my Accor membership no longer includes liquor. I wanted a nightcap shot of whiskey, nothing expensive, and was told I had to have wine or beer. The wine I selected was $22 on the menu which is certainly more than a shot of whiskey would have been so I don't really understand the policy. Usually I have a cocktail which would also be in the same price range as the wines.

« The suite we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. »

We loved our suite but we were not as impressed with the dining room. The front desk staff and concierge were very professional. The salade nicoise was very skimpy. The prices for breakfast were too high. My wife and I were at this Sofitel hotel years ago and there were flies and fruit flies in the dining room. They are still there. This needs to be fixed once and for all.

All the staff we interacted with (valet , front desk, concierge) were exceptional. My girlfriend and I were really happy with our room. We didn’t like the first room we were assigned bc it was on a corner and the bed was not a king size bed, so they moved us to a different room and were very very kind. We will defiantly be back! « It was sub-par »

Sofitel is my go-to hotel in Montreal. This was my only disappointing stay. Upon check in I was told I was in an upgraded larger room, with two double beds. I responded that it was not - and said that while I understood the hotel was busy, I didn’t appreciate the sell-job. Instead, I should have been apologetically been told that because the property was busy, the only room available was one with two beds. I would have accepted that - rather than being told something that wasn’t accurate. I was in the 9th floor. The hallway and to a lesser degree my room smelled musty. Seeing that this was my only off stay, I will return. But if this had been my first stay, I wouldn’t come back.

From arrival to checkout every interaction I had with a staff member was polite and friendly, in some areas they went above and beyond. I had broken my wrist a week before and arrived in Montreal to find my Airbnb had been a scam. After some tears and internet searching I chose the sofitel. I arrived at the hotel a little battered, the Porter/Doorman D'arcy was the kindest most helpful, loveliest person I could of encountered. The help and and consideration shown was very much appreciated. I was helped through checkin by a lovely staff member as well and then escorted to my room. D'arcy helped me arrange my cases and open them and later a lovely note was sent gifting a dessert and ice cream to help me relax after a very stressful arrival in Montreal. The concierges in the otel were brilliant, from helping to arrange excursions to helping me create a walking tour for myself to see all of the main landmarks and lively areas. My room was very spacious and had a very well equipped bathroom, and all areas were kept very clean by the cleaner. To the hotel - Thank you, you all made my stay in Montreal perfect :-)
