Very clean but smaller than expected

Undergoing refurbishment

Very poor signage with the refurbishment, you need clear directions to the temporary reception/check-in desk. Many people walking around lost. My room was not high quality and looked onto the construction of the courtyard, you need a small card in the room to say “bear with us while undergoing construction” instead of the A4 long winded card about the new design.

St Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

Paid extra for a balcony only to realise when we were there that it was a tiny juliet balcony. Would not have paid extra if we knew in advance. Rooms are very dated, particularly bathrooms. Needed a bottle opener and had to call room service twice to finally receive it after having waited 30 mins. In house phone did not work either. Very average stay to say the least. Quite disappointed.

Good even with renovations going on

There was some dislocation with the renovation work but things still worked pretty well at the hotel. There were only 2 lifts working so there was at times a slight delay. The Soiree staff were good, but it got pretty full at 7.00 pm. I didn't have the breakfast as I had forgotten to book online and, as not a big eater in the morning, couldn't justify the full price. My room was good as usual.
