A pleasant stay, once again. The staff of Mercure Kuta are polite and super friendly which makes this hotel one of our favourites. The ocean view room we stay in is incredible in that we have a view of the beach and all the activity going on whilst still relaxing in the privacy of our balcony. There are renovations happening throughout the hotel, which is timely. These rooms look fantastic. The rooms are spacious enough and the beds are comfortable. Rooms are cleaned daily and room service arrives in a timely manner. The infinity pool and area surrounding it are fantastic. A wonderful place to kick back and enjoy a cold cocktail or beer. Or only concern is the slipperiness of the walkways when they become wet. Take care. Overall Mercure Kuta is an excellent hotel to stay at of you want to relax and chill out after the hustle and bustle of cruising around the tourist areas or experiencing the daily life of the balinese inhabitants living in the less frequented areas.

The hotel was interestingly designed and very well located on the sea front at Kuta Beach. However, despite being advised we had been given a room upgrade the room was not to our liking. In particular there was no hot or warm water at the wash hand basin. In fact there was no hot or warm water at the shower either on several days. The answer to the later was that there were renovation works ongoing, but that seemed unlikely as there was no problem with the cold water. The room and bathroom were short on storage space. For several days there was a cleaners cloth left lying under the sink and it had not been retrieved by the time we left. On one day the electronic lock to the room failed and we were locked out for over an hour. When the lock was fixed no one bothered to tell us the work was finished and we could get back into the room, I had to ask. At night and in the early hours the noise of children and adults holding conversations in the corridor outside our room prevented a good nights sleep. The restaurant was on two levels which meant going up and down stairs, not a very sensible situation.One breakfast when the upper level of the restaurant was full we were seated in an area where there were ashtrays on all the tables and the gentleman at the next table was smoking. The matter was resolved but indicating people can smoke by putting ashtrays on the tables where people are going to eat is totally unacceptable. My experience at this hotel means I will avoid the Mercure brand in future.

« Convenient Hotel »

Upon our arrival at Mercure Hotel on 17 December 2017 we were welcomed by the friendly reception staff. Our newly refurbished room was spacious with a walk in wardrobe. Room was clean and beds comfortable. There was also a sofa bed for lounging. Bathroom amenities were provided and tea and coffee making and a small fridge. 2 bottles of complimentary water were replenished daily during our 4-days stay. Breakfast, which was included, was below average. There is a swimming pool at the hotel but no gym to our disappointment. Wifi is easily accessible. The beach is just across the road at Mercure Hotel. BeachWalk Shopping Mall is within walking distance and so are the numerous market stalls located in a very narrow street minutes away from BeachWalk Shopping Mall. On the whole our stay was a very pleasant one, despite of the rain.

« Facilities and Staff are wonderful however extra's are very expensive compared to other Bali Hotels »

The Staff were amazing and very helpful even though some of them really struggled with the language barrier. The accommodation was lovey, very clean and the rooms are a good size. The lighting in the rooms needs to be better - for reading etc. During the heavy rain in one of our rooms, water leaked in on the shelf and I had to ask several times for it to be wiped up. Overall it was a great stay.

Good experience with clean room, very good staff, nice pool.... Food was horrible, too salty.. Breakfast was good and nice variety, but the lunch and dinner options were very limited and the food quality was very poor, i ordered a sirloin steak and it was one of the worst i have had in a decade, food was high on salt and lacked what was expected of a decent restaurant. The open area where we could order food from , looking in to the sea on Level 4, was very good and the staff offered to set up the table nicely for a good family dinner looking in to the sea and enjoying the sun set, but the food turned out to be horribly bad. I stayed in a Deluxe room in Level 4 (419), Room was too small and the bathroom was huge. some basic things were missing.. the wardrobe should have been outside the bathroom or atleast have a door to close it. No place to eat in the room, if you order room service, no table and chair, no place to sit and work with your laptop or read a book.. there was a couch which was cozy, but i would have preferred a couple of arm chairs with a small table in that place to have food and do some work in laptop or read.. Mini-refrigerator in the room should not turn-off if the access card is removed, i had some food for my baby in the fridge which got spoilt, when we were out the whole day. Had to go out to buy food when we got back in the night to feed the hungry kid...Extremely disappointing...

The staff at Mercure Kuta Beach were genuinely friendly, and professional. They made us feel special at every opportunity. The room was fantastic. Very very clean, and very well equipped. The only downside was the food at breakfast which was very tasty, but always at low temperature. Hot food is better tasting and better for hygiene.

We chose this hotel for the location, originally going to book through an accommodation website but ended up signing up and booking through Accor Hotel so we could get airport pickup included for the same price. The hotel is located on Kuta Beach and is set back a little from the road. It could possibly be Kuta's best kept secret as if you're not staying there you may not even really notice it when you're walking by. The layout is very Balinese; tropical & outdoorsy. Our room was on the ground floor and had been recently renovated; we liked it a lot. It was large and had high ceilings, there was a small terrace with chairs out the patio door. The bathroom was deluxe. The king sized bed & pillows were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed the hotel so much that we spent most of our time there. We were just on a short vacation - 5 nights - to relax & rejuvenate. We planned to get out and about but once we checked into the hotel we decided we would rather just relax there. We spent late morning - mid afternoon at the infinity pool. It's a great atmosphere, lots of beach chairs & an excellent view of the beach/ocean. It was never busy when we were there, in fact most of the time we had the whole pool & area to ourselves. We sipped on delicious cocktails & Bintang beer and usually ordered something from the restaurant. The poolside service was excellent, staff were super friendly & accommodating. The entire staff were so amazing; they made us feel like we were so special & they always made sure we were happy and taken care of. It didn't matter if they were at the front desk, restaurant, maintenance, house cleaning, front gate.....they were all excellent. Breakfast was great (and included in our room price); there was always a variety of food with different dishes every day. The coffee was yummy. We always sat at the window seats looking out over the infinity pool and the beach - we loved it! We attended the BBQ on Saturday night, a weekly event they hold. It was good value - lots of meat/fish to choose from which they cooked at your request. There was soup & salad bar and of course the Asian dishes. Desert was to die for. They really go through a lot of trouble to pull off the Saturday BBQ. There was renovations going on when we were there but they didn't inconvenience us in any way. They had a temporary wall built to block it out. We have no complaints at all about this place & will definitely be back on our next Bali vacation:-)

The location is perfect, just a few step from Kuta beach and it is near Legian street. Really convenient for travel with family. And with Accor membership, i can upgrade my room and get complimentary for drop service to the airport in the last day. The hotel service is nice and friendly. Definitely will come back this hotel !
