« Great Hotel in the Heart of Paris! »

Had a great experience with the hotel. Family friendly.... The hotel itself is just a short drive away from the heart of the city. Very easy and convenient to get around from the hotel, with quite a few options to eat and shop right next to the hotel. Their breakfast buffet was great and the rooms were a decent size and were well cleaned every day. A++++ rating. Definitely recommend especially if you are traveling with family.

The hotel room was a good size and the bathroom was nice. However the toilet room was a tight squeeze to get in around the door and the shower in the bathroom leaked easily to the floor as the edge was not raised.

Electricity disappeared in the morning took long to fix it. Also the complimentary drink token I had bartender only gave half a pint.. Only good thing was the view to Eiffel tower that’s why giving a 3.

Novotel Paris 17 is conveniently located on the ring road and close to the financial district. Public transport access isn't excellent but the T3b tram is only a block away so you can connect to other trains, etc. You also have less than a 30 min walk to the Arc de Triomphe. And there are also a lot of scooters and share bikes nearby. The room was comfortable with moderate amenities. There are two English language TV news channels and several other channels have English simulcast. Many of the staff speak English and can help you with questions. The lounge area is not large but also rarely full despite the number of tour groups that seem to transit the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is ok but I did not enjoy my dinner the one time I ate there. This is not a hotel you'd plan to lounge at during the day. The housekeeping staff fills the hall most of the day changing over the rooms. I was disappointed that room service plates, etc, stayed in the hall almost the entire day along the halls.

Room was adequate and pleasantly quite soundproof. However there were some things we found were unsatisfactory: 1. On one of the days we stayed, after housekeeping cleaned our room, they did not give more shower gel and we ran out. When we asked the front desk for more, the lady asked us to go downstairs to get it from her as she was manning the reception by herself and there were no other staff. We found this very odd as housekeeping or someone else should be able to send it to our room. This was at around 6 pm, it was not at odd hours. 2. We called room service and asked about breakfast options. They did not explain what kind of breakfast they can provide, only asked if we wanted cereal or bread. I'm not sure if it was because the person was having difficulty speaking in english, as he did not seem to understand much of what I was saying. We asked for only 2 pieces of croissant. At check out, we were only informed that for breakfast there is only a package breakfast of 18 euros per person which is the same price whether we had the buffet at the restaurant or via room service. Regardless of the fact that we only had 2 pieces of croissant, we were still charged 18 euros, which we found to be extremely ridiculous. If we had known, we would have eaten at the buffet or get the whole set of meal which included croissants, coffee, juice etc. The front desk lady did not care either when we explained that we only had 2 pieces of croissant. 3. The bottom part of the sealent between the shower glass doors was missing so the floor always got wet after we showered. Overall the room was adequate but the attitude and service we received at the hotel was very unsatisfactory.

Loved the time we had at Novotel 17. Rooms were really clean, comfy and stylish. Shamina from reception was lovely and helpful. The late receptionist on Saturday (didn't get her name unfortunately) was amazing and even offered me her own comb when I asked for one... this is what I call Heartist! Thank you guys!

« Checking INN took way too long »

There is only one lady that checked in the guest at 19:00 last Sunday. The poor lady had to handle all people. For Novotel Standard waiting 20 min for check in is too long . Apart from that waffle machine was broken, and generally the concept of making your eggs on your own is nice idea but not efficient of the breakfast room is full and everyone is wanting to do his egs. The scrambled eggs are too soft like polenta that gave the impression that arr not real eggs but powdered mix. I would accept that for Ibis but not for Novotel, even Mercure and IBIS style in Germamy have much better quality in food. I feel the level of hotels are not equal between France and Germany i would expect to have really parity here and hope that this will imrpove. To be honest i used to be Platinum Member in the past but changed to compeitor of your cause quality has gone worse please improve again

Overall everything was fine. One thing happened upon my arrival, the bedroom window was unlocked on the 8th floor and I had to request someone to come to lock the window to prevent from the city noise to come in the room.

The accommodations and food were fine, but the customer service was not. I came one day early for a tour that I had booked. I was told that I was in the wrong hotel so I checked out and went searching to two other hotels. No one at Novotel 17 attempted to help me with phone calls to find out where I should be even though I showed the paperwork of my tour. The last hotel I went to did the research for me only to find out that I was supposed to be at your hotel. I thought that your customer service was poor treatment for a foreigner, and it demonstrated little consideration.
