« A bit disappointing for the money »

We were pleased you could offer us a family room which enabled us to stay in the same room with our children. Also pleased with the Bern travel tickets included in the price - very much appreciated. However, as we booked a Superior Room, the size and quality of the room were disappointing. The bathroom and WC could do with an upgrade. Very odd having to walk through the bedroom to wash our hands after going to the toilet. Free parking would be good.

Booked via booking.com and got confirmation/paid for 2 adults and 2 children. When arrived at check in was told the booking only covered breakfast for 1 adult (even though the confirmation stated 2 adults and 2 children). So needed to pay additional fee.

The staff is very polite and professional. But the bathrooms, specifically the bathing cubicle and WC are very small and cramped even. The Resturant closes at 9:30 in the night which leaves very little options for a traveller wanting a warm meal at night.

This is the only so called 4 star hotel that has no hand washing facilities in the toilet!! It was absolutely disgusting. Teabag shortages- the waitress in breakfast bar screamed at my husband, because he picked up 4 teabags. The hotel had run out of these, and we had gone without earlier that morning. He was just planning ahead. He wasn't about to sell it on Ebay, for goodness sake!! They promptly ran out of these again. No shower cap. They kept only 2 towels in a family room. Why would a 4 star hotel staff think that is an acceptable level of service? It was an absolute joke. Worst experience.

The sink is located with the shower and the bathtub, so it is present. We offer a 24-hour service, anything that is missing in the room we take it to the room with pleasure. Our breakfast buffet is open from 6.30am to 10am or 11am (at the weekend) with plenty of choice and we still had tea (the waitress immediately reported the problem to me, I think they understood each other badly), but we do not allow take away.
