Good stay, Nice room, helpful staff. Pool wasn’t open despite sunny and hot every day. Couldn’t eat breakfast on outside patio which was a shame. Transport difficult and expensive to town. Shuttle bus would be good, taxis are very expensive here.

« A bit of a let down... but still quite ok »

I'm based in Asia and go out of my way to stay in Accor properties because of the extra attention and recognition that comes with Accor Plus. Alas, my first time ever in Europe was here and it appears that there is limited integration between Asia Pacific and Europe. Apparently the code that identifies my status was different and the staff wasn't sure about it. In any case, the room was more than adequate (although the air conditioning was not) and the breakfast, too. People were all very nice.

It was Nice but many mistakes : electric kettle not working within the room, location very bad as not well desserved by bus, a leaky shower head, not enough paper tissues in the bathroom, and people at the reception were very coldly.

« A very very comfortable and extremely enjoyable stay. »

We were pampered from the beginning as we entered the hotel. There was someone who helped with our bags and since we were late for the fair , they said they would handle the bags and put them into the room.So we rushed to the ZOOMARK Fiera and when we returned ,we were in for pleasant surprise as we had been upgraded to suite.That was o nice and thoughtful.Everyone was so nice and pleasant and helpful.We had a wonderfully enjoyable stay.

« Not a four star experience »

When I order an executive room at a four star hotel I have some expectations and iron table on the room not behind the reception is one of them. Also the breakfast was not a four star experience were a lot of food was missing, slow refilling and juice (more like water) was terrible! Also the mattress was maximum two star quality.

« Worst Novotel hotel so far »

1. Location of the hotel is very bad - basically, this particular hotel suits you only if you travel by car: public transport is too far and walking in that area is a bad idea. Taxis in Bologna are pretty expensive, but you end up having no other choice. 2. Breakfasts were disastrous. We stayed 4 nights and it was the same (and very poor choice) of products. The only vegetable available for the breakfast was cucumber. Coffee was okeyish, but that's not good enough for an Italian hotel. 3. Room itself was more or less ok (though I was not able to figure out how to use the safe) and old. Bathroom had some mold underneath the sink (because of very strange engineering solution). Water from the shower flows to the floor.

« Very pleasant stay, breakfast needs improvement »

we stayed only one night, so our experience was quite brief. the room was very spacious and modern, with a very welcoming atmosphere. we had a problem with the sink in the bathroom, which would fill with water and then dump it on the floor. this was fixed immediately, responce and reaction from the hotel staff was excellent. the breakfast in the morning had a limited variety and i.e. the croissants ran out. also the milk was bad. we asked the staff if it was normal cow milk and they said yes, but it tasted weird/sour. when they refilled the bottle it tasted normal. so we have to assume that the first one had expired... overall very pleasant and relaxind stay, a couple of things regarding the breakfast need some attention. then it would be in the 9-10 rating.

« Its like home »

Clean and welcoming entrance, comfortable rooms with both shower and bath in the same bathroom. Lovely atmosphere, but had one short bad encounter regarding parking. On the day we arrived, I personally asked the receptionist on duty if it was OK to park in the parking behind reception area, the one on the right hand side of the hotel. He nodded and said 'si si certo'. On the day of checking out, another receptionist stopped us before leaving, which was around 6am. He wanted us to pay the parking service and when I told him that his collegue said that it was OK, he sharply insisted 'avete fatto una confusione...di certo il mio collega non avrebbe mai detto cosi'!!!!! I was very angry at this at his tone of voice. Nonetheless, he still didnt charge us anything, but in our opinion, he was a bit rude to us.

We enjoy staying in this hotel whenever we are passing Bologna. We are always made welcome at reception, at the bar and in the restaurant. Service is excellent; always prompt, cheerful and professional. The restaurant has an excellent menu, the meals are delightfully presented by knowledgeable, highly professional staff with the added bonus of humour and interest in the customers. Our comfortable and sizeable rooms had been cleaned and prepared to an excellent standard. We look forward to staying again soon on our way to the Adriatic.

« Its just like home.. »

Welcoming entrance with a mini ' garden' in the middle of the colourful yet subtle foyer. Smart receptionists and ample choice of breakfast items.quiet and clean surroundings.room was everyday made clean with soft white towels ready to be used by clients.lavish shower and bath both in the same bathroom.comfortable,clean beds. .well done Novotel.always a pleasure. Would eliminate fitted carpets in rooms,make kids area a bit more spacious and make the play area outside sheltered.

Room was a little stuffy for family. Bathroom used to get flooded from the sink and shower. Towels were insufficient. Missing bathroom slippers that were supposed to be part of the room package. Good breakfast. Convenient location. Fine for a short stay.

« The location was the only highlight »

Very disappointing given the cost of the hotel, a relatively new hotel with appalling maintenance, and no response to the maintenance issues even after phone calls and visits to reception, shower hose spraying water everywhere, shower adjustment was broken, bathroom door handle missing, curtains falling off tracks. the bar staff that were on were great but given the Cosmoprof show was on and the fact the hotel had advertised a happy hour each night, they still only had one person on the bar, he was rushed off his feet and made the service extremely slow

Purtroppo nel Suo commento ci risulta difficile comprendere cosa non sia andato bene.. Per quanto riguarda i Benefit del Suo Status di Accor Member, Le ricordiamo alcuni di questi (early check-in / late check-out e free upgrade) sono in base alla disponibilità dell'Hotel pertanto, se non ha potuto usufruirne, il probabile motivo è da ricercare nella non disponibilità degli stessi. Infatti, la notte del suo soggiorno, il 12 marzo, le camere Executive non erano disponibili in quanto l'hotel era al completo. Se invece non Le fosse stato offerto il welcome drink, La preghiamo di scusarci per la nostra mancanza. « Good for a short overnight stay or when you need to visit the Bologna Fair venue »

Good, normal Novotel that is located a bit outside of the citycentre of Bologna. Good for a overnight stay if you need to catch a plane the next day or are visiting the Bologna Fair Venue which is basicly just accross the street. I you need want to walk to the centre of Bologna, it's a bit tricky as there is not real walk path and the shortest way is actually to follow the main road which requires you to walk about 30 meters in the side of the road to pass under a bridge under the railway. It takes you about 45 minutes to walk from the hotel to the centre. Rooms were good, good soundproofing as i was facing the highway and didn't get bothered by that. I was disappointed by the breakfast: - coffee from a machine that doesn't have real beans so you are basicly drinking pre-fabricated drinks - every day almost no eggs, no bacon in the warm section; the scrambled eggs were either still too liquid or cooked too dry.. - limited selection in general, no fresh fruit except apples and bananas. The other fruit was from cans in syrup. Did also not get recognized as a platinum member although i got a welcome drink but no other upgrades.

« Good for a overnight stay if you need to be in the neighborhood or are just passing through »

Your average novotel with rooms like an other. Good to stay overnight if you are passing through or ideal if you need to attend a fair at the Bologna Fair Venue as it's right accross the street. I would not book this again hotel again as it's quite far away from the centre and it's not obvious to walk to the centre (which i like to do) as you have to follow a busy main road where you even need to walk for some meters in the side of that road to pass under a train bridge. If you do not take this way you need to make a huge detour. Rooms were clean and very soundproof: i was located a the main road and did not experience any noise disturbance in the evening or at night. Breakfast is disappointing: - coffee from a machine with no fresh beans/grinder.. So you get either powder or concentrated liquid drinks - eggs were either too cooked (dry dark yellow looking or too little (still liquid)) - bacon was almost not present and/or not replenished regularly - no fresh fruit besides an apple or a banana, all the other fruit is from cans on syrup - little variation in general - almost no staff to be spotted during breakfast; you occasionally see them appear to clean tables Although i am a platinum, i was not upgraded in any way and just got my welcome drink.
