Good location, clean and pleasant hotel, good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. This is a 3-star hotel, but the room is more like a 2-star. It was clean and the size was adequate. However, the mattress was a bit hard, and there were no drawers for clothing. We had to leave personal items on open shelves. The closet was small and had only 5 hangers - not enough for the clothing of 2 people. Although July and August are chilly months in Florianópolis, there was no source of heat in the room. There was only one wastebasket and it was in the bathroom. So it was apparently intended for disposal of soiled toilet paper, but there was no lid on it to contain odors. Separate from this, the bathroom smelled of urine. The odor was partly covered up with a strong and unpleasant smell of disinfectant. Regarding the breakfast - it was good, but not outstanding. On the first day there were three options for eggs - scrambled, omelet, and quiche. On the second day two options - scrambled and quiche. On the third and fourth days there was only scrambled. Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the room left something to be desired.

The hotel stays at a perfect location. In the middle If the city, next to public institutions and the historic center. The dish was frequentely, there was no croassant, bit the breakfast was ok. Wi-Fi was good.

Not good, need improvements urgently. The room card doesn't work properly. The meals at restaurant are not well done. Breakfast needs to be much better. The bed sheet had a terrible smell.

« Payed twice as agreed by the phone in the day before. »

Really bad experience. We called in the day before the arrival (07am.) and the person who attended me at the hotel ignored the fact that the night's attendant, Icaro, said to me one price knowing the day and time that I was arriving and charged me twice as much they told me before. It was to early and I was really tired, thats why I stayed anyway... but we will comeback many times to the city and don't pretend to come back there.

« Good stay but some issues »

The good: bed & shower was good. The bad: A/C thermostat wasn't working well, you had to turn off & on multiple times for it to kick up. The parking charges should be charged by the hotel instead of being separate for convenience of the guest. The line at checkout is unnecessary - most modern hotels have 10-second checkout and upfront delivery of bills on the night prior to checkout - these are some steps Accor should take to improve checkout convenience for guests.

Reasonable priced, well located, Ibis Florianópolis is a good option for overnight stay or for business. Everything about it is OK, not overwhelming good or bad but I wouldn't recommend it on vacation hoping to spend some time at the beaches for which Florianópolis is so well known.
