« OK for one night »

We were disappointed by the room. The toilet was in a separate cubicle, which was smelly. The view was depresssing. Although it's an aparthotel there wasn't any crockery or cutlery at all in the room. The worst thing was that we found out that there wouldn't be any hot water, and maybe no water at all from 9am to 6pm weekdays. This was planned work, but we weren't told this when we booked or when we checked in. We only found out when we tried to have a shower. This was in the midst of a heatwave. The breakfast was good and the lobby pleasant and the staff friendly.

« Good Suite with poor breakfast and bad parking places »

The Novotel is on a side of the Gare with a lot of noise and traffic movement. I arrived late night with children and there was no open parking possibilities. Since we were traveling with a box, I could not park the car in the garage. No other parking possibilities. After questioning if we could change Hotel, this was denied. The only chance was to take all the luggage from the box, take the box of the car and place the box inside an office of the Novotel. Almost midnight and with open traffic. The parking was very expensive. The breakfast was very poor to the standards we know from Novotel. No scrambled eggs, no fried eggs, few bred varieties, no sausages, no bacon, etc. I had to cook the eggs myself. The lady wo was replacing the goods, could not understand a word of English and my French is not perfect... so not a good experience with Novotel. Disappointed again.

Futhermore, the breakfast that we propose is not the same than a novotel classic this is the Suite Novotel breakfast, that why you can't find the same service. We also inform you that all the receptionnist speak english to help you and follow you during your stay. The perfect location across from the Lille Europe train station (there are two in Lille, just next to each other) and the stylish lobby & bar makes this a welcoming place to stay in the center. The hallway carpets need to be replaced if to keep up with the rest of the furnishings, but judging from the rest of the renovations ongoing, I do hope this is in the plans... A bit disappointed to have learned upon checkin that the hot water was to be cut off daily as of 9am due to works, but managed OK.

The room in this hotel was quite big and clean. Big TV with channels in various languages. A free drink was offered upon arrival and the minibar included 4 drinks that were free of charge.

It was convenient as it was close to the railway station and busstop, everything in the room was clean, comfortable. The best thing we liked was the services, Clelia was amazing, she walked us through everything, was patient with us and translated everything in English. She was very nice and very very helpful. We enjoyed the stay more because of her hospitality

good location, nearby the station, all necessary equipment is furnished,also nice for separate wash room and shower room and bath tub, indeed it's nice stay as family trip. Highly recommeded to others. Only WIFi is not available in our room due to weak power level.

We had 2 rooms and right from the time we checked in the AC was not working in one of the rooms. Though the Ac was rectified the next day evening it was an unpleasant experience on day one.

« Basic, smelly and hot! »

They whole room smelt of urine! The air conditioning didn’t work properly so was boiling all night! The room was spacious but the bathroom was like half a caravan plonked in a bedroom however the smell of a caravan smells better than our room! The smell of urine was overwhelming and our friends room down the corridor was the same too! Breakfast was ok but when you get sworn at by a few low guest because someone else has taken there boiled egg it makes the whole experience negative, especially when there are children all around you! Will I ever chose Novotel Suites over a Novotel hotel? NO most defiantly not!! Premier inn is basic but is luxurious compared to Novotel suites!!
