« Amazing hotel, best I’ve ever stayed in »

The staff are so attentive and nothing is ever too much trouble. The interior is so amazing and cool, the rooms are perfect and our air con did not work so we were upgraded for free. The pool is beautiful and the gardens are constantly kept under good maintenance. I loved this hotel so much!

I would like to thank Mustapha, Reda, Redwam for excellent attention and first class service by the pool. Banditr trainee customer services representative went out of his way to be helpful. Meryen, Majid and Chahin (Atlantic Beach) excellent service. Houccien (tea man) such a lovely friendly helpful person. Not forgetting Fatima (manager) very welcoming and attentive. I would highly recommend your hotel and staff to all. It was our first time to Morocco and was such a wonderful stay with the weather, food, location and wonderful friendly staff. I have travelled vastly and was pleasantly impressed with the hotel, location and cleanliness. I would suggest though more entertainment in the evening ... and possibly a small shop to buy snacks etc. Once again many thanks to all. Lisa B.

It was probably one of the best Sofitel hotels we have stayed at. Couldn’t fault the hotel except two little things, I find it strange you are not allowed to bring food from outside. Not even drinks or snacks. So we are expected to get this from room service which is so expensive. Also during breakfast, on many different occasions we had to ask waiters 2/3 times for coffee or juice. Usually by the time they bought it we done with breakfast.The buffet for dinner itself at £80 for two people is over priced. Besides this our stay was amazing. We had a lovely private dinner for our anniversary on the last day which was beautiful. All staff are so friendly and greet you whenever they see you. The atmosphere is calm and chilled throughout the hotel. Couldn’t get enough of the pool area. Overall a stunning hotel. Couldn’t recommend it enough

« Perfect luxury holiday »

The most relaxing holiday I’ve had; the staff can’t do enough for you and its peaceful location right on the beachfront offers lots to do. The hotel itself is beautiful and the food in the dining restaurant is delicious. The only thing I’d say is that there aren’t really any restaurants in the area as it’s so far down the coast so the choice is small.

It was enjoyable until the last night which was a nightmare and took away from our otherwise good stay. My two year old spilled tiny beads all over the floor which van be very dangerous if you slip in it. Also, the shower had broken soap on the floor which my daughter was slipping on, so I called housekeeping around 6 pm or so to take care of both issues. When I got back to my room around 11:30pm after visiting the marina, the floor wasn’t cleaned nor was the shower touched. Both a safety hazard. Both whet I called and explained and requested to be cleaned. On top of it all, our bed had ANTS all over it. To make matters worse, my daughter (who is 2) has a severe ant bite allergy. I called the front desk and went to it, took my sleepy daughter out of the room and kept her in her stroller while I again asked for the room be cleaned and now handle this safety/health issue. I expressed how nervous I was about ants in the bed and why, and I was told it would be cleaned right away and that they would call me when it’s done. Mind you, this is around 12 midnight, my daughter is very tired, we had to keep her in her stroller, downstairs, out of the room we should have been sleeping in for over 2 hrs trying to resolve this. No one called us, so after about a very frustrating hour, I went back to the front desk to speak with Omar who said he got busy and couldn’t come to tell me that the room is now clean. I was very upset that I even have to worry about ants in my bed, expressed my worry about my daughters allergy and how disconcerting this is, and when I went to my room at 1 am, it was not cleaned. I took a video with the time stamp to show how the floor with beads and shower were not cleaned so how can I Be at ease or Confident that someone even cared to clean the bed or change the sheets? My husband killed about 5-10 ants, I have video with time stamps again, and we both took off all the sheets and dusted them outside and made the bed ourselves all around 2 am now. On top it all, your electricity was out around that time so we had to use our phones for lights. I was terrified I couldn’t see the ants, could not sleep in worry and could not sleep in the heat with no ac did to hit power outage. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had a hotel and I always stay at Sofitel’s when overseas. This by far was the worst service wise. We were checking out the next day (thankfully as I didn’t feel comfortable in the rooms with my daughter) and the housekeeping staff took off our extra room charges such as a couple of Meals, and a couple of drinks. I asked for a discounted rate the last day and was told I should have asked before 11pm the night before...why didn’t anyone offer any guest focused solutions that night? Not even the offer if another room to sleep in when you were clearly not at capacity. I’m disgusted with how the situation was handled. No level of service was provided and a dismissive solution of offering to pay for a couple of meals and drinks was not an adequate solution to your guest feeling their child’s safety was at risk due to the lack of professionalism by your housekeeping team. It was almost insulting, but it was the only thing that was offered. I do want to say that imad at breakfast was amazing and should be recognized for his genuine service. He was a delight to see how people love what they do and want to make their guests happy in small gestures. He brought my daughter some chocolate after she told him the bird ate hers (which it did) and he was so kind to bring a surprise plate. The chef was great, met us at dinner at the Moroccan restaurant and made my daughter Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes. Again, small kind gestures go so very far. Unfortunately, joe the last night was handled really polluted our experience and I’m hoping you can train. Your teams of housekeeping to do a much better job. I haven’t written a TripAdvisor review yet but do want to be honest in my experience for other guests. I look forward to hearing from someone. Nida Washington, D.C.
