« Not like other Novotels »

We asked for 2 beds and we had a big bed and a side bed very unconfortable. I booked with time in advance and this was not considered, when I get to the hotel all the 2 beds rooms where full. We arrived 15 minutes before closing the breakfast and they were very rude as they were already taking off the things.

We had booked a junior suite. When we got there, we got a smoking room(!). We complained on this, but they couldn’t give us another suite that was non-smoking. So we had to spend the entire weekend with that awfully smell. A couple times I noticed the reception that I would like them to bring an ironing board to our room. They confirmed this, but they never delivered it to our room. So I had to go to the restaurants with a wrinkled shirt.

« Not the best stay because we didn’t know about the refurbishment work! »

We’d stayed before and were looking forward to returning but we’d not been made aware of the refurbishing work that was going on (we did book through a hotel booking website though) so after the annoying drilling and banging work on the first morning we moved to another hotel (luckily they refunded me for the second night). However the room was nice and the breakfast very good!

Staff all friendly except one man in the bar High chairs in the restaurant were rubbish! Didn’t have straps and trays fell off Tidian in Reception was wonderful Room great 1023 except the fridge was warm! Some of the lighting was crossed wired?! Breakfast fantastic Restaurant and bar were very nicely decorated

My wife, my daughter and myself stayed for 3 nights in April. It was our second time in this hotel. The check-in was friendly and efficient. The breakfast still allows for diverse types of food with good quality. We like the new design of the breakfast rooms. We asked for a higher floor but were explained the rooms have been renovated after the 5th floor and are now part of a higher category.

Everything was satisfactory and good for our needs. However since my last visit I felt the atmosphere has become more impersonal and corporate. I miss the ‘Radio Monte Carlo’ memorabilia and preferred the bar menu before. (A substantial snack option is missing). I would still stay here again as it is so convenient for my purpose. We enjoyed our stay, staff was pleasant, dinner good. Breakfast was a bit chaotic with only one coffee machine working and people waiting in line. What was good upon arrival for breakfast staff helped in identifying a table. Well placed in monte carlo. Gym an hamman great!

On arrival we were welcomed by Leonard at reception. He was very pleasant and professional. He was very approachable towards my children and within the first 5 mins he made us fell at ease and at home. He us feel feel like we had known us for years and not just customers. The staff in general at the hotel were all lovely. The location was perfect and situated a few minuted from the station. Thank you for making us feel welcome. Leonard is great asset to you and the company. Keep up the good work. Hope to see you soon.
