The most important for me is clean and quiet. The moment I arrived the people were efficient and I was able to go straight to my room. I knew the room so no surprise for me. The TV is nice and big and the bathroom is nice and clean. All good.

Our stay was very positive, the staff were superb, and we enjoyed the al fresco breakfasts by the pool. The room was OK, ( and we understand a renovation is due next yr, sound proofing very well done, completely eliminating traffic noise and air conditioning one of the quietiest experienced. The only problems we had in the room was that the shower door seal was loose ( but rectified during the day) Regarding the pool it incorporates shallow steps at the entry point, but the 'nosings' ( where trad meets riser) are very sharp and I did cut my back on them. - also there is no rail to hold onto at the deep end

« Very pleasant, spacious rooms, catering not so great »

Very comfortable. Great breakfast, but the room service was poor and limited although much speedier than it used to be. Also in the rooms, you provide cartons of water in the mini-bar, which is much more environmentally friendly and then have plastic cups in plastic wrapping. I know it is much easier to throw away than wash-up glasses, but this really put me off the overall experience. Bed was very comfortable.

Stayed during the Monaco Yacht Show, which can be hectic. Hotel has improved check in staff and experience, and refurbished some public areas; seems to work well. the less formal and more friendly approach works well (subject of course to keeping the right staff!) I stay every year in an exec room, which has some free minibar things; would also like a paid mini bar ideally. The rooms are fine, modest but functional, but need an update now I think (which I believe is planned). check in and out is pretty swift and efficient, particularly as we pre pay. the bar is good too.

I stay here every year during the Monaco Yacht show. I found the updates to the public areas to be quite attractive and look forward to the room renovations. The beds are comfortable, however I had an allergic reaction to all the pillows. The bathroom amenities are JUST OK, not in line with the price of the room. Lighting and air conditioning are fine. The made forgot to replenish the supply of half & half for the coffee.

Your hotel is amazing. We as a group had a fabulous time. The rooms were gorgeous the bar was lovely and also we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. We didn't have an evening meal in the restaurant but in the future we definitely will be returning to your hotel and will be trying an evening meal in your restaurant. Prices are very high during the yacht show - and this means something. The receptionists were very polite but the other services are not fantastic. Some small things but the soap was taken and not replaced in my room; someone removed a near-full bottle of water from the room and did not replace it (so that I had one rather than the two bottles that are supposed to arrive each day - annoying when I returned home thirsty); when I called room service they said someone would come and give me one but they did not; cheap plastic mattress protector on bed makes them very hot and unpleasant to sleep in. It's not great if you are charging more than €400 a night. Many people who stay in this hotel only stay during the yacht show, and it gives a poor impression of the brand.

Overall our stay at the Novotel was enjoyable. The Hotel was relatively clean and we stayed in a nice room which had excellent views to the Marina and Palace. We were not happy with the fact that there was only a very small bar fridge in the room. The fridge was not cool enough and we constantly had to go to the bar to get ice for our waters and for our protein shakes. Every time I presented myself to the bar to get ice I was greeted with a smug look as if I was a burden asking for some ice. Solution is to have bigger fridges in the rooms, ice dispenser on every level and for bar staff to be re-trained in customer service. When checking out we had organised through the front staff for a car to pick us up to transfer us to Nice Airport. There were 4 persons 2 adults 2 children 2 large bags and 3 small bags. We were quoted 95 Euros. The Transfer vehicle arrived in a Van and the new charge was 140 Euros. We did not request a van as a large sedan or station wagon would have accommodated us. We were not happy having to pay extra for No reason. We were also quoted by the driver and staff that the trip would take 45 minutes. We were at the Airport in 20 minutes. We believe that we were taken advantage of. We were ripped OFF. You should never take advantage of people whether they have money or not. Pure Greed. 140 Euros is 226 Australian dollars. That is a whole week of grocery for us in Australia.

The room was spacious, modern and clean and overall lovely . The pool and bar facilities were similarly modern and convenient The staff however were awful and rude from the check in desk to the bar staff. Check in staff just shrugged his shoulders when I asked about parking facilities. The bar staff were similarly rude when we asked about happy hour which was advertised on the front of the menu without any date/ day restrictions, he informed me that it was just Wednesday and the girl next to him “it’s 20 questions today” in a really quite rude manner.
