This is our favourite place to stay in Queenstown. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and an easy walk to everything you need. The beds are so comfortable and the showers are powerful so ideal.

On arrival our first day we had wonderful service. The staff were super helpful and met all our extra needs with ease. It felt like luxury. On our second arrival unfortunately we had been upgraded to a king room and as we were sisters we had required the twin room. It took us 45 minutes to be moved to our room due to the arrival of groups. We were left waiting in the king room and didn't feel we could use the facilities. We had returned from a tramp and were in need of coffee and bathrooms. As we only had the evening to spend in Queenstown, the time felt wasted. The situation could have been improved by a call to warn us of the wait, suggest we come to the bar, provide us a coffee or some other gesture. All other services were excellent. The staff made it easy to organise leaving our gear for our return and it had been sent to our room for arrival (albeit the wrong type of room) Had the room error not been so poorly timed, I would have rated my experience a 10.

After a terrible experience at the Novotel in Paramatta sydney a couple of weeks ago I nearly cancelled this booking and was going to stay at the Crown. We stayed both before and after a Hollyfiord Trek. We were happy that the concierge stored our extra bags for us, but amazed to find them in our room when we checked in upon return. The front desk staff and the concierge were extremely helpful and friendly both visits.

My travel agent recommended this hotel & we are very happy of our experience in Novotel Lakeside Queenstown NZ. When we got there, Hotel receptionist gave us a room in the first floor, just in front of Car parking in the street. I have requested a quiet room instead..... A receptionist was very kind & tried to accommodate and gave us 2nd floor quiet room. However Breakfast was too expensive & not worth it
