Love the hotel's central location and buffet breakfast spread. Everything is fine except for the saggy beds! The hotel really needs to get new beds, or at least refresh it by flipping the beds.

I was mucked around at check in time, waiting and waiting. put in another room, while my room 'dried out'. couldn't unpack or settle in, as was waiting for my room to dry out. After dinner - my room was ready, this was 9pm when I got back, so then move to a new room There was also a misunderstanding even before this waiting happened and I thought I booked the room for 2 nights, but she couldn't give me the same room for two nights, I would have to move. well I was going on a cruise at 6am the next morning, so not practical. I went online and booked it

You get what you pay for..... Central location. Valet parking. Obviously contented and well trained and friendly staff. Great food. Comfortable and clean rooms and dedicated housekeeping....been back for the last coupla years. Hope to see you again next year!

As a four seasons destination Queenstown offers amazing experiences all year around. While we understand that many people come to ski over this time but if you do get the chance to come at other times I would highly recommend it. Summers where the nights linger and it gets dark at around 10pm, the Lupins burst into colour and there are many concerts, events and a generally great vibe, to Autumn where the leaves on the trees turn absolute golden and start to fall, with events such as Luma light show and then Spring with the cherry blossom and colours of spring - as you can see we love the variety and opportunities for our visitors!! My stay overall was good. However the lack of communication from the hotel staff after an earthquake on Monday night was disappointing. I was expecting some sort of announcement advising people what to do or saying that there were staff on hand if anyone felt uneasy. Nothing.

The house keeping staff turned heater off during the way, after a day on the snow we get back to a room to cold to shower in. Porters didn’t take our bags to our room. $4.00 room service fee on already overly expensive room service prices. I don’t think I’ll stay at a Novotel again.

Dear Lordoftheringmain Thanks for staying - we are sorry to hear that you had difficulties with meeting your expectations of the booking. The $1 breakfast was a promotion that ran through a certain period and also required the bookers to come through our website - it was on certain days and at times was limited so if it could not be booked on the day that you stayed it meant that it was no longer available - ie not available on the date or the allocation of rooms on the promotion had been used by others. All bookings that met the terms and conditions and booking criteria were awarded the promotional benefits to our knowledge. We are not sure what difficulties you had with your TV or air conditioning and whether these issues were reported so that we could take action to remedy them however the team is proactive when our guests advise us of such issues and normally any issues can be resolved quickly and simply. Great location close to shops and restaurants but still very quiet. The all you can eat breakfast was high quality with many varieties. Made to order eggs, all style, were freshly cooked to perfection. The juice blender made us felt at home. What a nice surprise, Novotel Queenstown Lakeside.
