Excellent stay as always in this coveniently located, clean and comfortable hotel. It’s located close to both the station and the city centre, and also has underground parking. It’s worth joining Accor’s loyalty programme for a free drink and discounted stays as well.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times now, and it has never disappointed. The building and rooms may not be very modern any more, but it is still very acceptable. And it's clean and quiet, with friendly staff both at reception and breakfast. That breakfast is excellent by the way.

It was great. I just had a room for two nights for one person. Everything was perfect. The hotel is also quite central so a quick walk can get you anywhere downtown that you wish to go.

I wanted to stay close to the airport overnight, so a colleague could pick me up in the morning. All the airport hotels were fully booked or ridiculously expensive, so I chose this hotel instead. It was fairly priced and quite easy to reach via the S Bahn

Had a comfortable 3 nights at the Mercure Dusseldorf City Center. Despite overlooking the main roads, room was reasonably quiet. Staffs at reception were pleasent & welcoming. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Wifi was very good as well.

« Lovely hotel, really comfortable and great location »

Friendly staff at check in / out, a great central location next to the Hbf, a really big room to relax in, which despite being on a busy main road was quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. Nicely appointed with a desk to work at, and a huge bed. Very impressed, and would definitely go back here for another visit to the beautiful city of Dusseldorf.

« There were some really good stuffs, but some shortcomings, too. »

In general a rather standardised Mercure-quality was there as expected. At this branch I liked especially the "breakfast of the week" that was white sausage on a day and pan fried Leberkäse on another, prepared by the chef, notably a lady. Build-in shower was thoughtfully designed to enable water to flow easily down the sink without splashing out through the shower door. I have serious doubt, however, about the online check-in system, notified by email on day of arrival. It really annoyed after receiving the friendly notice just to find out that I could not activate online check-in unless booked for that purpose beforehand. There could be some bugs in the system, though. Furthermore, there was no rack for luggage that is usual in other branches, so that the luggage had to be laid on floor.

From the check-in to checkout, the stay at this hotel was easy due to helpful staffs and it’s location. Everything is within the reach by walk and public transport. The interior of the room needs renovation, however it was clean and comfortable.

« Everything was ok except for a receptionist »

The receptionist during our checkout on 23 Aug really need to understand patience, pleasant personality and professionalism are needed to be in hospitality industry. When we requested her to separate invoices of two rooms under different company names, she showed the kind of laugh subtly. Thereafter told me every invoice can only be printed once. Set the issue aside, the kind of attitude is really unacceptable especially the arrogance shown to hotel guests. The other receptionist who helped to check-in on 23 Aug is far better than this one. Smile, patience and willingness to help.

« First visit to Dusseldorf »

Stayed for 4-5 nights at this hotel. Good location, you can reach main city areas like Konigsallee street , old town and the rhine river within 10-20 minutes walking distance. Public transportation is near the hotel but I didn’t use it. Paying parking available and paid at the hotel. They have also good breakfast . Two notes: beds and blanket are not wide enough + you have to take out used coffee cups out of your room as housekeeping leave the in the room for more than one occasion .
