This is easily the worst accor in Bali ive stayed at and I have stayed in 7 accors in Bali thus far. this is my second stay at Mercure Sanur. First was 2015. the friendliness of the staff has improved since then. we had a hotel paid/organised transfer, so the hotel knew when we were coming. upon arrival around 12.30pm no one was around, we had to carry our own bags up the 2 flights of steps. an ominous sign. went to check in and our room wasn't ready but "go have lunch and it will be ready straight away" says the reception . 90 minutes later (the kitchen always takes forever at mercure sanur) we return to check in and the say "sorry the room is almost ready" unbeknownst to the staff I speak Bahasa and understand they haven't even started to clean the room. I call the reception employee on that, and walk him down to the room to demonstrate it hasn't been started to which he then says "oh they are on lunch break, another hour" with 2 kids and an early start and being a gold accor member this is simply not the level of service I am accustom to. everyday without fail we had to ask for toothbrushes at least once, sometimes 4 times. every morning at 5am I was woken by the hotel staff throwing the sunlounge cushions on the beach chairs. even saying something still did not change their noise level. its fair to say that the staff here don't have customer service skills. if you asked someone to do something outside their duties, their response would be "dial #7 and ask for that" be it toothbrushes, that would be housekeeping response, at the bar for bucket of ice etc. often you see guests clearing tables at breakfast to get a seat and often the table with dirty plates that you walk past at the start of breakfast is still there after you have finished your breakfast. the thought of the staff solving your problem that was outside their job is foreign to them. and its simple stuff and its everywhere you turn. I emailed and visited the front office numerous time to speak with the Guest Relations Manager, Ibu Eka and she was constantly unavailable, to this date she has not even bothered to respond to my email...oddly there is not a fitness centre, nor can the hotel even recommend a babysitter. one of other things in stark contrast to all other Accor hotels I have stayed at is having the Accor Advantage Card is an inconvenience to the staff so in summary, don't expect anything in the way of service and you wont be disappointed.

The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The rooms are tired and need some modernisation. I wish there was more organised activities for guest as it was secluded and this would have helped.

I got free upgrade to executive room which is very spacious. Love the beach, the warung café, pool, etc. will stay here again in the future. the only problem is: transportation, no online taxi allowed to enter the hotel. there's local taxi driver waiting in the security post and the cost for the local taxi is 2-3 times more expensive compare to online taxi.

Only staying for one night got there at 2.30 pm we had 2 rooms booked one room was ready and was told the other room would be ready soon but once at room there was people still in there who had a late check out. So after waiting till 6.00 pm we where told we where getting moved and to better rooms near beach , which was fine but they where further from the beach as the ones before so we had to check out at 8am due to boat booked so didn’t really get to enjoy our rooms

As always, a warm, positive welcome ; I had a nice, quiet room and enjoyed the facilities. Just one matter was not so good; while sitting in the nice long chairs on the beach relaxing, a security official said if I were not staying in the hotel I must pay to sit. I explained that I was staying there. he asked why I did not have a towel? I explained it was too hot to swim in the middle of the day. He insisted, so I showed him my room key , and finally he backed down. I was not happy with how he spoke. Please explain to security that it is good they are vigilant, but they should not assume that a guest without a towel is an imposter.

Beautiful resort right on the beach with lots of restaurants close by. One of the main reasons we chose this resort was because we were travelling with a little one. The kids club shown of the website looked amazing. However was non existent when we arrived. We were told the kids club had moved to under reception - a couple of foams mats and a few toys...
