The hotel is old and not maintained properly. The room has musky smell that makes me sick. I'm very sensitive to dust and can tell that the sofa has not been cleaned thoroughly for a long time. The sofa is shaky when I sat on it, making weird noises. The towels smells so bad. (To me, this is a basic need. Clean towels!) The shower curtain is dirty. No shavers provided in the room. The cupboard doors cant even be closed! The windows have not been cleaned for the longest time. I can't see the view from inside. Can't believe this is Novotel.

Customer service is good. Room condition not satisfactory. Stains on toilet sink and floor, ants on table. Worst experience of all is when spa therapist insisted on illegal activity and when refused demanded a tip of at least Rp100, 000 on top of the massage fee. Such audacity!

Overall, my stay at Novotel Semarang was great. However, I noticed that I didn't get some of the toiletries which were written in the guideline (inside the bathroom), for example Comb & Cotton Buds. Also, there was no granulated sugar as one of the topping choices for Pancake & Waffles. I asked to the staff, but it seemed like he didn't know what a granulated sugar was as he brought me White Sugar instead of granulated sugar like I asked. But those were not major problems, I still enjoyed my stay here.

...there was a delay in our room being available despite not arriving until 5pm. We had to wait approx. 45 minutes. Apart from this, everything was great. Staff very friendly, breakfast was good, rooms clean and comfortable and location was ideal.

Rooms tiles / parquet is very bad and very old. Anyone walk, it really makes a loud tweet sound & wakes up the other person in the night. Also the food at the coffee shop at the lobby area, is very low quality & not tasty at all. we ordered few food but really very bad quality & taste.

i was having problem with the breakfast. the cook for noodle station was not hygiene. the cook used the water for boiling the noodle as well as boiling the egg. In my opinion, it is not hygiene for using the same boiling water for boiling noodle and the egg. many germs or bacteria could stick outside the egg shell. Usually, the water for boiling egg wont be used again for cook or drinking water. Fortunately, the manager in charge that day could solve the problem and said that the cook was a new one.

Overall my experience staying at your hotel this time is satisfied. The room is clean, the lobby is nice, all personel is very humble, the breakfast is good but the car parking space is small & the Security guard for the parking stand is not so good. I hope the next time I go to your hotel you can keep the good things and even improving and for parking (basement) hope fully you can add more concern about the Security issue (for example add some ticket so not all person can Come in and out freely).

Overall im satisfied when i stayed at novotel semarang. The rooms got new interior design , more modern. After 4 days i checked out from hotel , i realized that my husbands jeans was left at the room. I contacted at 5 sept to athe hotel but they check for a while and said the jeans couldnt be found.. It could be much better if housekeeping keep my husband jeans but sadly not.
