The general experience was nothing more than expected for a 5***** hotel with beautiful gardens excellent adult pool and capable friendly staff,however there was one evening that failed to live up to expectations. We had cut our stay in Ubud to allow us to attend the expensive pre-paid gala Christmas eve dinner. From the getgo the evening was a huge failure from the staff continually getting our names wrong with the last straw being the head waiter asking us if we mind being called MR&Mrs Gillies ???? WE suggested he make an effort to find our correct names and nothing changed that evening, however, from the next day on it worked. We picked M Gallery because of the wonderful time we had at a sister hotel in HO AN . The meal was very ordinary with the main course dry and in Brians case no stuffing and mine extra large,overall it was poor with at least one totally undrinkable wine(Rose) with 2 other below par. Sadly we only remember the bad problems and tend to relate these when asked, more so than the entire experience...such is life

They Royal Beach Seminyak is the perfect place to holiday in Bali. Beach, Pools, Amazing Food (the breakfast WOW!), Gardens, Restaurants and close to everything Seminyak has to offer. The staff are amazing and the General Manager Vincent is so helpful and totally focused on his guests.

The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and the staff are wonderful, however the hotel is falling very short of a Sofitel. The adults only pool had a pretty bad smell, like rotting vegetation. There were also a number of jets in the pool that didn't work and hadn't worked on our previous visits either. The hotel and rooms are desparately in need of a refurbishment. The water was extremely hard and difficult to clean with. The shower head was terrible...it was either set to a faucet stream of water or a spray that was more of a mist. It was apparent that it was a cheap showerhead. We also noted that there are a number of areas in the hotel that used to be bars or restaurants or provide some amenities that are now simply vacant. It gives the hotel an abandoned feel to it. The gym was adequate, but the equipment really needs to be serviced. One of the bikes in particular was barely useable. Additiaonlly, there is no music in the gym, but instead some tiny TVs that really don't add much value at all. It would be nice of classes were offered and the gym were modernised. It really feels like an after thought. This is a great property in a great location, which is why we returned to it. With a little care and attention it could be a great property.

I have stayed at the Royal Beach Seminyak Bali for one night on the way back home from Sydney. I've always liked staying at Seminyak unless I go to Ubud. It's not too crowded and but you can still have the city vibe. The hotel has private beach next to the pool. So you can enjoy both pool and the beach together. Sunset I was looking there was so nice.Receptionist RADI (Sorry if I didn't spell correctly) was so nice and precise. She guided me from 1 to 10 to use this hotel fully. I had also late flight at 1am. She offered me a refreshment room so I can take a shower before I get on the plane. All staff at the royal beach was so nice. I'd definitely stay again. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

We had an 11 night stay which was generally great. This is a well located beach front hotel on Seminyak beach. Service was excellent across all departments and the grounds are delightful. Rooms are spacious and cleanwith good bathrooms. Breakfasts were excellent and the Teppanyaki restaurant was basic but tasty. Overall, the hotel is a little tired and parts could do with a refurb but this is minor. The main negative for us was the sad and depressing state of the bbeach. Polluted beyond belief and clearly deteriorating.

The Hotel was very good and we enjoyed our stay very much. There could be some improvements like the water pressure in the shower (Room 121). fine for a cold shower but as soon as you have the hot water on the pressure drops a lot. I also used the mini bar a couple of times only for Diet coke but it was not re-filled.

From the first day we arrived to the hotel , we are constantly mesmerised and impressed with the consistency of high service from the staffs . We are an Accor card holder , it really helps a lot with the dining . We tried the other restaurant around the hotel , however nothing could compared with the quality and the price that the hotel offer . The breakfast is the highlight of the stay with the endless array of delicious food choices . We got a standard room , however we are very surprised with the size, a bath tub and a balcony ! It’s a delight to find out there is a hotel in Seminyak still offer this . We love the lush garden and adult only pool. It feels that you are in heaven on earth. You can’t beat the location , beachfront . We love our early morning walks :) . Definitely found a hotel where we will go back to stay !

The resort staff were very friendly which was great. Unfortunately we had also experienced some inconveniences — We travelled with a group of 23, 19 of of our group became sick with vomiting & diarrhoea. We understand this may not be directly related to the hotel, but the high incidence indicates it may be hotel related, given we know other travellers in Bali at the same time who were not becoming sick at such large scale. Secondly, We had booked 2 rooms, a villa & a twin (room 356) for the teenage children. The twin room was so unnessarily far away from the villa. Of all the rooms available, one nearer to the lobby or lift access would have been most suitable so access was quicker if needed. I felt there could have been a better selection of room location for the amount of money we spent on the rooms for the 7 nights. Lastly, Accor feedback - we were encouraged to attend the Balinese BBQ night which we did. On check out it was then explained to me that the regular Accor meal discounts do not apply to themed dining nights. I do not understand why you would encourage your guests to attend a dinner if standard discounts don’t apply. There is then no incentive to attend.

Our Guest's health and safety are our top priority, therefore our restaurants are audited for hygiene and sanitation regularly by appointed competent third party as well as our team who are doing heath tests regularly to meet international hotel chain standard. I was very sorry as due to high occupancy we could not pleased everyone with their room preference and kindly accept my sincerest apology should our team did not explain clearly what was mentioned also in posters that thematic dinner is a special event and AccorPlus dining benefit did not applicable. However, in our hotel we specifically gave 10% discount for the food to honor the members. The place was nice and most of the staff was very nice (Hery of the front lobby, all the people in the restaurant Husk). The food and drinks were really delicious. I tried two restaurants outside and then decided to eat always in the hotel. The shuttle bus to Seminyak square is also very convenient. But as a platinium member, I was disappointed that the hotel treated a siliver memeber with a lot of privileges I had not got: 1) An e-mail before the arrival for all the preferences (pillow, colors etcs) 2) Flowers in the room ( the silver memeber told me about this and I so asked flowers two days after my arrival) 3) Despite this, little by little, this silver friend told me about other privileges like cards every day in three languages (Balinese, Indonesian, English) to lear basic local words, fans and others. She went to complain for me, then I got small gifts. In addition, they put me in the ground floor even if I asked the 2nd or the 3rd one. In the middle of the stay, I moved to another room by insisting so much. The day of my departure, they were nice to give me an extension till 7PM, but they asked me to move at 11:00 AM to move to the ground floor in a similar room. I don't know to which kind of guests the hotels paid so high attention and asked me to move absolutely to a same room but in the ground floor (I was also in the ground floor in the beginning as a platinium member). I am the platinium memeber and like the brand of MGallery because of the MGallery in HCMH. I was supposed to be treated in a good way, but got so much frustrution to learn that actually, it was better a silver memeber from Australia. I don't know how the hotel chooses to give privilege to guests. I will probably come back to Bali, but not to this hotel.

An exceptionally well run hotel. All the staff are well trained and have a wonderful attitude towards the guests. The breakfast buffet is sensational. Very well done to the whole team it was a pleasure staying with you

« The Royal Beach Seminyak Bail makes a Bali Holiday Perfect »

This is my second time at The Royal Beach Seminyak Bali and it was even better than the first time. The breakfast is amazing and the hotel rooms and villas are perfect. You have two great pools and the ocean at your door step. The gardens are the best in Bali and your only option is to relax and clear your mind. All the staff are brilliant and the General Manager Vincent goes out of his way to meet the guests and make sure they are having the perfect holiday. Thanks so much Michael.
