« Decent Location but Average Services »

The location is decent opp to main Agbar tower but there is No bell desk or house keeping services which mean you have to pick up and bring down your own luggage and even for a small service like an adapter you have to come to reception and take it back yourself. Staff was courteous but not one of the best welcoming staff i faced. Over all staff courtesy 3.5/5.

This was my second time at this hotel. Excellent room, very friendly and professional service, super breakfast, and ideal location - not too much in the city Center, but very well connected to all the places to visit!!

In room nespresso did not work properly, couldn't keep water adjusted properly in shower. Reservation was for 3 adults room was set for 2 people. Used their power adapter burned out a blow dryer, hot rollers and a curling iron. No compensation we were told it was our fault.

After checking your reservation, we realized that you have made it through the AccorHotels website, the direct channel to reach the hotel. It was indeed specified that the reservation was booked for 3 adults. However, our website also stipulates that every room includes a queen bed as well as an extra sofa bed that allows 4 people. We are sorry if you were looking for 3 seperated bed but our hotel unfortunately does nor provide that. We hope that you were still able to have a great time. We also apologize for your devices. If you face the same issue next time, we advise you to ask for a manager help, he would be happy to help you. We wish you a very nice day and apologize again for the inconvenients you had to cope with.

Eveything was good but the breakfast employees need to be more smiling and engageant (smile is not reserved to the reception person)... The view was really great too. The receptionist team was great, smiling, attentive and effective even if they are so many people awaiting for check-in or check-out.

Overall very happy. Our room was spacious, clean, modern. Staff, with one exception, was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good in quanty and quality. Hotel was near bus, tram, subway.

Hotel was as expected - a good base for sightseeing with hop on hop off bus stop at the end of the road and close to tram and metro. Lovely reception area. Was there with my wife, her mother and sister and her husband and kids and well catered all ages.

We (family of four) had a good stay at the Novotel Barcelona City, it was close to a metro station and a stop on the bus tour so we were able to get to and from the hotel and into the city centre very easily. The main disappointment was after arriving late in the evening having already checked in online I still had to queue and then sign some paperwork as well as give over a creditdebit card as a deposit (not sure how this the qualifies as online checkin). Also, I was asked to sign a copy of the house rules for myself and my wife but they were not available in English. I decided to trust that it would be standard hotel rules as I had a couple of very tired kids with me that just needed to sleep, however normally I would have insisted on seeing an English version. The only disappointments really were the lunch and evening menus which were a la carte without the options for standard meals. Finally, there was the pool, which was outdoors and I'm sure is really nice, however the weather while we were there was only ok rather than steaming hot so the pool, which was not heated, was constantly cold. Although the weather is obviously not the hotels fault it would be nice to have had this as a heated pool for those visiting on days that happen to be a little cooler than the peak summer weather in Barcelona.

« Excellent location...helpful staff delicious breakfast and small rooms like all European hotels »

I went for a conference and 2 days vacation...brought my family and stayed in the super room with coach bed for the kids.. after opening the coach room was very narrow..AC is not working well...staff were very helpful and daily cleaning was of high level..Breakfast was upscale with fresh bakery daily, fruits and cold cuts with many options for kids worth its price..my kids enjoyed the kids club..outdoor pool and jacuzzi were cold..hotel in near downtown and very close to public transportation..overall good experience in a relatively narrow room...private steam bath is available for free by reservation which I find a perfect secret for this hotel..

Very enjoyable. The roof top area is relaxing and provides a great view. The restaurant food was very nice. The new shops across the road provide more food outlets and large supermarket
