This is the worst Mercure Hotel I've stayed in, the interior is in need of refurbishment and because of that it's definitely not good value for money. Best bit was the secure parking. Breakfast was OK

« Be careful when you stay here! »

Take care of your money if you choose this hotel - one of the staff is a thief! I had 400 euros stolen from a purse concealed well within a closed bag whilst at breakfast! A shame as it spoiled what would have been a lovely stopover.

« Stay ruined by theft!!!! »

The room superb, view amazing, comfortable and clean. Breakfast lovely. BUT one of the staff came into the room during breakfast, searched our bags very thoroughly and stole 400 euros from a well hidden purse. I didn't discover the theft until later when I went to take money from it.

« Good moment but the hotel needs some work »

Nice welcome in the hotel, rooms are good but some work needs to be done (terrace not in a good health) Good breakfast Bathroom needs some work and lights were not really working....

« Too expensive for what was provided - wish we’d saved money and stayed at the Ibis »

Staff were polite and helpful. Room was good size and bed was comfy. We have stayed at the Ibis in Millau a few times and thought we would upgrade to the Mercure (we have stayed at many ibis, Novotel and Mercure hotels). This was not an upgrade at all. Couldn’t believe there was no fridge in the room. The breakfast was truly dreadful. When we arrived (9.35) there was a scraping of scrambled egg and no other hot food, but when asked they did bring more although it was cold left-overs. There was no bread left and both coffee machines were out of water. There were no place settings at the tables and plates etc. were not easy to find. We really wish we’d saved our money at stayed at the Ibis. This hotel I’d defiantly not worth the extra money.

« Good stay »

We arrived at 15.00 and the roomallocated to us was not cleaned. I asked for another room. I was surprised there was not a safety deposit box in every room beating in mind the cost of this Mecure. I asked for a room with one and they said that they would charge an extra €11.50 which I thought was wrong since our room was not ready however in the morning no extra charge for this was made...so thank you. The show holder could not retrain the shower head and the extractor fan in the bothroom didn't work. I would have expected these things to have been seen to.

Friendly helpful staff. A good but not normal Accor style dinner, showed more flair than their normal menu. It was very hit and therefore the aircon, which is quite old struggled.

« Great View of the Millau Bridge. »

Nice hotel in the centre of Millau. Had a room with a balcony view of the Bridge. Lovely for sitting on in the evening with views over the city and hills. Good selection of food for Breakfast. Liked the allocated park. Staff excellent. Hotel could do with being refurbished.

Very disappointing stay in what I expected would be a first class hotel. The room was very tired looking and in need of refurbishment but had an excellent view being on the seventh floor. No bath, just a wetroom which succeeded in soaking more than just the user. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant, two attempts to cook Salmon steaks resulted in fish that was cooked at the edges and raw in the middle, after the second attempt I left the restaurant disgusted and hungry - I was not charged, however, for the forty five wasted minutes. The following morning the breakfast room was littered with used trays, no empty tables were available that contained the necessary plates, cups and cutlery despite the fact that I was told to sit anywhere I chose. It would appear that one person was responsible for allocating tables, clearing tables and restocking the buffet - and this in what purports to be a four star hotel. In contrast the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful.

« Friendly very helpful staff, hotel disappointing, not up to 4 * standard »

The staff could not be faulted as they were very helpful and friendly. The hotel doesn't live up to its advertised standard. First impressions - the doorway and entrance were littered with what looked like sawdust. This still hadn't been cleared away by the next morning. Furniture, decor and carpets tired. One small bottle of water as a welcome in our room wasn't really adequate for the star rating.

« Satisfied but overpriced breakfast »

We liked our room with the balcony. It was a good size and fairly comfortable bed and pillows. We felt the breakfast was overpriced at €16 pp given what was available. We stay in premier inns on a regular basis and their beds and pillows are superior and their breakfasts at £9.50 pp are far superior. It is also expensive parking.

extremely disappointed with the quality of the room which can only describe as shabby with the carpet smelling of body odour. Had this been the first Mercure hotel we’d stayed in it would have been the last. If we had wanted to stay in an Idis hotel we’d have booked one!
