May I begin by thanking you for choosing us as your accommodation during your visit to Pattaya; your kind custom is greatly appreciated by both me and my team. However I would like to offer my deepest personal apologies that your time with us did not match that of the vast majority of our valued guests as our sole intention is to provide our visitors with a true Mercure Pattaya stay. We just completed our new family-friendly project recently, which includes a mini water-park, kids activity zone, sporting arena, outdoor mini-theatre, new bakery and all day casual dining restaurant, new breakfast offer, and brand new air-conditioners in guestrooms to name a few of our upgrades. We have also mildly refurbished our rooms and public areas, while painting the façade of the building and other public areas. Aside from that we have also replaced the linen and towels completely. We would be delighted to have the opportunity to redeem ourselves once again upon your next visit, and hope to complete these projects by then. Your constructive comments are of immense value in providing a focus for improvement of the hotel’s products and services. The birthday cake prepared by the hotel gives us a surprise. However, cleaning needs improvement. We have found a big cockcroach inside the bathroom.

« Very friendly staff in a great location. »

I was happy with everything. the room was spacious. I could see the sea. It is a central but quiet location. The floor staff were excellent. Great pool with plenty of lounges. My only complaint was that on a few nights some guests stayed up late with their doors open and sometimes gathered in groups in the hall.

« City break in the center of Pattaya »

I took a week off for a city break in the center of Pattaya. The hotel is ideally located for all kind of activities (all of them in a proximity of 5-15 minutes on foot). Despite its central location, the area isn't particularly noisy nor overcrowded. Thus, it's also a spot to relax in the middle of this bustling city.

Nice but was not our first time Location is very good and pool area nice There was a bit of renovation by the pool so a bit noisy but that can happen and was acceptable . Staff is still very nice and helpful Room especially curtains, bathroom, shower would need to be for sure a bit rejuvenated and a bit more light added to the room Also in our room ( may be was no highest category as some seems to get it) there was no chair or table on the balcony which is a bit cheap savings as balconies are nice and view on the pool would be great for a drink there

« Great location, fair price, ok breakfast, rooms need renovation. »

We spent 1 night in Pattaya and chose Mercure for its location providing easy access to all places in central Pattaya. The price is ok although the rooms certainly need modernization/ upgrading. The tiles in the corridors can be very noisy if more guest movements, luckily, during our stay there were not so many people. Good to have the private car park. Staff were friendly and helpful.

« Noisy men shouting in corridors »

Overall the hotel was good although the bathroom was small and needed renovation. The pool was closed for renovation but used pool at sister hotel. Unfortunately the stay was ruined by groups of Indian men shouting in the corridor. One night was woken at 2.30 by an Indian man fighting with a Thai girl over money. The large groups of men make this hotel unsuitable for families now. It is a shame because the Mercure staff are so wonderful.

« A disappointing experience »

We booked the hotel expecting to get a four star experience. We found that the following issues did not meet our expectations: 1. The bed was most uncomfortable- the mattress was really hard. 2. We were informed the pool at the complex was undergoing renovations after we booked and at that point we could not change hotels because the payment was non refundable. We were able to use the swimming pool across the road but this was inconvenient. The weather in pattaya is extremely hot and we needed to use the pool regularly. However breakfasts and customer service was very good.

We have planned some renovations and refurbishment projects in 2020, and we will definitely add mattresses to the list as well. We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the closure of the swimming pool. Allow us to inform you that due to unexpected damage to the swimming pool at the hotel, the pool had to be shut down immediately until further notice. The management has taken this step to enhance the wellbeing and provide better quality of facilities for our guests. Aside from that, there will be some heavy chemicals used during this repair and its dust is hazardous for your health. Next time you face a similar problem at the hotel, please do not hesitate to contact the receptionist right away who will be more than happy to accommodate your needs and fix any problems right away. « As expected for the price. »

Stay and hotel was as expected for the price. Had room upgraded on arrival as hotel was full, so that was nice. Housekeeping were a bit hit and miss with their cleaning times, I had to call to get the room cleaned at 4:30 one afternoon despite having the room clean sign out the whole day (and it was round the right way as opposed to do not disturb). A party was held in the pool area on the Sunday night and the volume from the speakers was rattling the windows it was that loud, however it finished at 10:30pm. Staff were pretty good and helped when asked. Room fairly clean, but bathroom shower/bath was terrible as could not raise shower past waist level, if you took it off the holder you would splash water all over the floor in front of the bathroom door as there was no shower curtain as well. More a design fault that was annoying due to the excess water that went everywhere. On the positive side the bathroom had great storage space for your own personal items which was fantastic for a change to the normal hotel bathroom.
