« Nice hotel, do not disturb ignored! »

Nice hotel. Good facilities. Friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay. One complaint. When I put the "do not disturb" sign on my room, it means do not disturb my room please. I do not want my bed made. I do not want fresh towels. I do this partly because I want privacy and partly because I do not want to harm the environment with clean linen every day. Thank you for your understanding. Tom B.

« The hotel was excelent so was the bed it was so comfortable and the breakfast very good »

There was only one problem that was the parking which was underground 2 streets away and at midnight and being tired was not what is needed once inside not easy to get out

Generally good . Booking in a little slow but I believe due to refurbishment. Socket in room not working next to bed which caused some issues for me but apart from that clean and tidy

« Not impressed with the building work and the drink facitlity during breakfast service »

drinks at breakfast were from two vending type coffee stations and were somewhat less than satisfactory, getting tea was a self service that meant any food that was hot got cold before tea was obtained. The building work around the reception area and bar area restricted a relaxed stay significantly

The Bar and Restaurant areas have been finished for many weeks now, so I do not understand why the renovation in this area disturbed your stay. There was only the co-working space which was in renovation at the time, and so as to hide the view on the work being done, the area was closed by wooden pannels all along the area. Regarding breakfast, there is a machine to have coffee and hot chocolate. There is hot water available at the buffet so that you can have your tea quickly too. « Not the Novotel experience I am used to.... »

Hôtel is pretty spacious and great view to the Docks shopping mall. Booked a family room (4) for this trip (usually I travel alone for business), but only 1 bottle of water in fridge....?? ! Room was just worn off here and there (furnitures, door, carpet seems not to have been cleaned for a while as it looks "dusty", so we all decides to walk in our slippers in our room at all times, while we are not having shoes nor slippers in our house at all. There seem to be quite a lack of maintenance. The toilet roll in the toilet is hanging on a place on thr wall that is way too far of reach! I had to stretch my arm completely and almost to a point having to lean forward to grab paper...... I cannot imagine how the kids can do that! And that's Ina family room? Especially for a 4 star Novotel this is for me unacceptable.I have seen Ibis Hotels of the Accor hotels being much lovelier to stay at as I stayed in a few myself before.

The other drinks are to be taken at the Bar. If you want a larger choice and more drinks, they are offered in our Superior rooms and Suites. I take good notes of your remarks regarding the toilets in the rooms. We finished our renovations in the lobby and meeting rooms and we will soon start our rooms renovations. My stay at the Novotel Le Havre was pleasant - the room was clean and tidy, the breakfast was hearty and the staff friendly. The renovations to the ground floor are looking good but it is a little hard to work out where to check in/out as there is no longer a reception desk.
