We had a lovely two night stay at the Ibis.This hotel is always very friendly,efficient and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and spacious and also appreciated the personalized welcome card.

Clean comfortable room once I asked for a replacement pillow. Pillow provided had very little filling in it. Breakfast was OK. Dinner menu offering only pizzas & burgers very disappointing.

Enjoyed our stay - however we asked for a room with one king bed and got one with two double beds. This is after paying a premium for a lake view. Queried this but were not able to be moved. We returned from a morning walk to find we had only one towel left in our room - talked to housekeepers on same floor, apparently there were no more towels available. We wanted to order room service to discover we would have to pick up our order from the restaurant! So didn't bother!

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The bed was comfortable . I would have liked more information in the room nonlocal restaurants and other facilities. The room could have had a hairdryer supplied. We felt the breakfast was a little lacking in quality, but adequate .

Hotel Lobby and bar/restaurant area was very nice. Rooms were small but neat and tidy (some of the items were a little worn like the bathroom basin - but that is wear and tear). The price I paid was fair and included breakfast. The breakfast was okay - again, what you pay. It was a little cold and lacking flavour and no labels in front of anything like the drinks or food items, which I think would be good to do. Overall good value for the costs. Staff need a bit of a perk up as were not over friendly and lacking a little bit of their hospitable skills.

The breakfasts were cold. The bar area was dark and uninviting, I actually thought it was closed. I had no alarm clock in my room. The heating was noisy. The rooms are small I don’t like not being able to open a window for some fresh air. The meat at the Novotel restaurant was poor quality and you have to wait a long time for it. One of our group got sick from the seafood. The drinks at the Novotel bar are exspensive and they ran out of large beer glasses. The menu in the room says eat and drink 24/7 but there are no drinks on the menu.

« the experience was fine. The beds were comfry, the bathroom was clean, shower was good »

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. the bathroom was clean and the shower cubical was good. The fridge could be a bit bigger. On our first night we discovered the fridge was not working. I discovered that the fridge was turned off at the power point. I turned it on and everything was fine. The fridge was obviously turned off by a previous guest. Maybe housekeeping should check this when preparing the rooms for the next guest. Also one of the bedside lights kept flickering so was unusable. I reported this upon checkout and the lady on the desk thanked me for bringing it to their attention. We had a double room. 2 double beds. This made the room very cramped, Maybe 2 single beds would make the rooms more comfortable. Having said this the rooms were warm and cosy and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is also situated in a great position.

I feel like I’m booked better stars hotel. Ibis Rotorua can be 4 stars hotel like Novotel or Mercure. Staffs so kind and friendly room is big,a bit unstable for toilet’s sink but overall is great.

I didn’t think I booked on ibis at all. It’s some thing better like Mercure or Novotel. Staffs really nice and kind. I really recommend it. Great deal and value. Located is good not too far from town room is clean and big.

« Accommodation is good but had to go to the Novatel to have good meals. »

Everything was above average except the meals. Breakfast was not enjoyable and dinners were almost non existent so had to eat at the Novatel.
