As my friend also review earlier, it was a dire to call the (only) one hotel number. She needed to contact the Accor Website to state her inquiry. It was overly crowded at the lobby, as an Accor member, even sitting at the member corner was impossible, expecting a smile/ a greeting was out of a question. The room was refurbished. We stayed for a straight 3 nights and they just left the shower gel emptied. The quality of bottled water were poor. During breakfast time, the quality of the food were so salty, and our usher the girl by the entrance was a tad impolite as my friend got the wrong room number (even I felt intimidated, as if we are trying to get free meal???) The management should review the occupancy vs the crew needed in the dinner. They seemed out of hand. No clean utensils in sight, low quality taste of food, no friendly greeting ( DO NOT EXPECT A SMILE ) and it took ages to get the food refilled. Basically in my opinion as member of Accor, this one Novotel Jakarta Mangga Dua Square, really should reconsider having a better standard in service. Accorhotels are famous for it's service. I have been "just" a visiting guess at Novotel Gajah Mada, the service was excellent. Even the housekeeping proceeded with a nice greeting. I do no think i should recommend you to my colleague. Your service has lower your standard. I am totally speechless.

« Lovely hotel but operator never picks calla »

Stayed 2 weeks. Had minor hiccups during the stay however operator never picks calls. Hotel also needs to pay attention to maintenance or the hotel will fall apart in 2 years. Already there are spoilt beds, broken curtains, broken door hinges, faulty glass shower doors and air con in several rooms are an issue. Maintainance Team isnt up to par.

The Hotel is good and location to the Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) is quite near so for people attending EXPO there is a good choice. The hotel to the airport is also not too far off. However apart from The Mangga Dua Square Mall near to the Hotel there is nowhere else you can go by foot. So not very ideal for tourist.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and it was a big disappointment. I was there for a business trip and my reservation was booked more than 2 months before by the embassy. When we arrived in the evening, we waited for at least 30mins to be told that our rooms are not ready and we have to wait another 30mins. Welcome drinks were given as complimentary for the wait. We left and came back to be told the rooms we have booked were taken, so they offered a free upgrade. We requested complimentary laundry and it was consequently given. We thought this was the end of the bad experience but it was not. The laundry we had sent twice were not sent back to the room. We had to request at the front desk. Laundry forms and bags were not replenished daily either and we had to request again at the front desk. It was then finally replenished only on the last night. When we came back from work, my colleague's door was left opened with the locked engaged. My towels were changed daily though not requested. However, they had smell of cigarettes. My toilet always had a smell of sewage. I have to say apart from the poor service, the hotel is really at a great location with amenities and plenty of food choices around. Rooms are clean and nicely lit. Breakfast offers plenty of choices and quality is good as well. However, from what I observed, the front desk is always understaffed and there are always people waiting.

The Room overall was okay, the house keeping always late to organize the room, on the second day i stayed the house keeping was clean the room at 4pm. i understand the hotel was might fully booked but your team should be ready on the situation. As a returned guest, saw many changes in the restaurant, menu variation on the buffet looks not fresh and very limited choices. The buffet looks so big but the food served very less. In front of the hotel surroundings, theres so many Ladies night are waiting for the order from hotel guests and they are so annoying around the hotel corridor.

Good size room. Pleasant stay. Fresh room. Insufficient staff at reception. Don’t understand why energy is wasted with plastic card. No tissue box in bedroom Insufficient clothes hangers Pillows are bad and flat. Needs new ones.
