« Great view, mediocre hotel »

A typical middle class, payable and functioning hotel. Materials not the best, and thus a pretty bad smell in room. The most problematic thing, though, was the breakfast area (including bar room): it was simply dirty. Chairs and sofas and carpets. And breakfast too messy with too few waiters to clean up at tables. The check-in service was good due to a very kind guy. A lady standing next to him, though, was anything but nice and service-minded.

« Luxourious stay and highly personable hospitality »

I had the most perfect experience at the hotel in all levels - even though my trip was to visit my best friend who was in hospital coma - since my check in with Luiz, who kindly arranged for me to refresh at the spa so beautifully installed the 15th floor while my room was being set - he has allowed me an early check in and the 9th floor sea view apartment was amazing. Everyone at the hotel was extremelly professional and friendly. The breaksfast was great, Ana at the kitchen talked me through the delicious 'cuca de banana' recipie, and kindly consolled me many times as I was so completely emaotinal and sad. Kedson at the front was an agel, Lucas could not have been more perceptive and helpful with my situation, the other waiters at the breakfast, including I think his name was Kleybson ( with a short ponytail) was so nive to me everyday. The roof top floor pool and sauna, which I switched on and used twice was magical and the view is indescribable. I wish I rememebred all names but please do let these people know how at home they made me feel in such a difficult moment. I can't wait to return to Novotel npw that my best friend is miracolously recovering 9 do let them know as well if you please!). Huge thank you to all! Elton

Chic, hip hotel in excellent central Floripa location with great views/amenities/services/food close to running paths, parks, markets, laundry, bus line, and bike rental. Novotel exceeded my expectations. Lucas, Elial, Carlos and the entire staff were very accommodating during my month-long stay. We were greeted at the door with a smile from your staff. Hotel provided extra hangers, hot water crocks, a sewing kit, and other amenities free of charge. I will recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues visiting Brazil.

At most it was a pleasant stay, staff were very helpful. At times services were not available, the gym was closed for most of my stay and the internet failed ona crucial day of business for me. However, staff were more than helpful to compensate.

- Telephone was not working. - Remote Control (cable box) was not working. Cable box had it's card installed wrongly (I had to fix it.) - It took us a couple of times to ask for a blanket. (And I had to go to the reception desk because the phone was not working).

This is my second stay. This time, I enjoyed it less. The room was noisy (traffic), no hot water for shower, asked to replace a phone, but nothing was done. Tried to get a massage at the formal openning hours (about 19:00), but the lady was not there. The breakfast was ok but not very rich (same like last time)

« hotel undergoing all day drilling due to renovations; restaurant is not part of hotel »

unpleasant experience although ultimately they tried to fix some of the major problems, but drilling went on for those days I stayed with them. Hotel restaurant is not owned by hotel and poorly attended to. Poor customer service (reservation for table not held, lack of service, claiming sea view when it is drive in and parking area to see, expensive)
