« Location, location, location. »

First time in New Zealand and loved looking around Christchurch. The Ibis is located centrally which made it very easy to go sightseeing. Was fantastic to see so much construction going on. We were lucky to have fantastic weather when there. The service staff were very helpful and showed me how to use the in-house laundromat which was another great facility included in the hotel.

Resturant was excellent - No need to go elsewhere - Stayed 3 nights and had all my breakfasts and dinners there as it was handy and the food was great. The room however was to cramped with the 2 double beds, it was also quite dated especially the bathroom. The shower was the smallest I have ever used and if I was a larger person that experience would have been awful. Lastly I felt the storage was lacking - personally I like a couple of small draws to unpack into - The wardrobe storage wasn't very user friendly made worse by the cramped room.

Pleasantly surprised by roominess of accommodations for the price and convenient location. Several restaurants and food stores are nearby and the bus interchange is an easy 5 minute walk. The staff was very friendly. They stored my bag for free while I spent a day skiing at Mt Hutt after checking out in the morning.

Staff very helpful. Room was just what we expected after having stayed in Ibis in UK. Airconditioning was a bit of an issue. Bit too warm and noisy. Room very well maintained.

« We enjoyed our stay at your friendly, handy, clean hotel and will come back for sure. »

We appreciated the locality of your hotel and even though we could not get onsite parking, the parking house down the street is great. The room was very clean and had everything we needed, except wine glasses. The restaurant was good. Would have liked to be able to order some snacks to have with our pre dinner drinks. (before 5.30pm) Also liked that it was reasonably quiet.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and building amenities very good. The customer service though was excellent. All staff were friendly and Daniel in particular went over and beyond to find activities that would entertain my 16 year old son.

Ibis Christchurch does what Ibis does well - no frills hotel accommodation with everything you need but nothing superfluous. The location couldn't be more convenient - in the heart of the city and walking distance to everything the city centre has to offer. The staff are friendly without being obtrusive and overbearing and the food is remarkably reasonably priced for a hotel. Don't expect luxury and don't expect a view but do expect a great location, a good price, friendly staff and affordable food.
