« Nice little hotel »

Stayed here for 3 nights during Easter Weekend. Good location with lots of dinning options around. Short walk to shopping area, Library and Botanic Gardens. Room is small, but clean and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is good, probably as good as the one at Novotel. Staff are friendly and made us feel welcomed. If we ever come back to Christchurch, will definitely stay here again.

Reception staff (Danny) was so welcoming - bright, efficient and friendly. Meals were large and tasty (and reasonably priced) and included 2 vegetarian options. Room was quiet and clean. No complaints at all:)

very good center of town accom- resturant excellent and good service reciption-parking is an issue costing an arm and a leg to park-either in limited Ibis car park of in parking buildings- managed to find a park on stereet

Christchurch still has some of the cheapest parking in the country and a city center but i do appreciate nothing is as cheap as suburban parking! All the best

It was my first visit Christchurch for the business for 3 days only. Hotel locates nice place near to the shopping area, park, etc. The room was clean and not small, and everything was perfect for me.

Check in was fantastic, friendly, knew I had stayed a few times before but still checked I knew were everything was, gave me a heads up about works commencing across the road and the water outage the next day. I organised the $20 breakfast for the next day there and then however when I got to breakfast the next day I wasn't on the list and the lady in the restaurant told me I wasn't on the list and she would have to 'ring to check my story'. All got sorted in the end. Bed great as usual, bathroom must have been for wheelchair access, shower curtain not big enough to the shower opening, there was no hand towel (there was 2 x towels and 2 x face cloths though) towel rail was safety rail and there was nowhere else to hang towels, just a little odd. Apart from noisy neighbours had a great night sleep. Check out was not great again, there was issues and confusion around the breakfast (I had this issue last time too) there was a $1 breakfast on there which I have never had anyone ever offer to me or explain to me) and a $25 breakfast on there which I explained again I had arranged the $20 breakfast when I arrived the day before, a little frustrating but it did get sorted I did pay $20 for my breakfast and the rest was fine, I didn't get asked how my stay was though or I would have given this feedback then, I got emailed my invoice / receipt and given the eftpos slip which is fantastic and I (didn't get thanked) got wished a good day.

« If the location were not so convenient I would not stay here. »

Reservation not taken care of properly for 3rd stay in a row. Due to lack of communication between Accor reservations and the hotel. A/C ran all night and was noisy. Fridge ran all night and was also noisy. Shower plug cover was loose and kept coming out. Great location but starting to get tired and show lack of proactivity.

I had a great stay at the Ibis - from check in to check out the staff were great. My only feedback would be that the restaurant was very un-inviting for dinner. The lights were very bright and the room was cold. I think if some attention was paid to the ambience that it maybe a little more popular. We did eat there and the meal was nice but the atmosphere was not great.
