Hotel: - Novotel Niveau, price and area are good enough - Staff at reception, OK they were totally helpfully Restaurant at hotel: - under the Novotel Niveau, high price steak was not the best for 40.00 euros. Staff was like as unsatisfied. Breakfast at hotel - general I can say ok, but some staff were not in the right way when they has meet with guest... I was now at several Accor Team Hotel but I didn´t think about my hometown could be the under the level. I didn´t interrest me at bar what is the conflict between the employees.

excellent nice people at the reception. very helpful and courteous. but the bathroom experience was awful. the sink did not work. water did stagnate. and the shower experience was very awful. the hose is not user friendly. and water was spilling all around while i took my shower. it was like a swimming pool i had to clean up and dry the water that spilled all over the bathroom floor.there must be a door that closes the shower when a guest takes a shower so water does not spill. me and my friend are unhappy and dont think going for novotel again. sad about that as the receptionists are very nice and helpful

« Pleasant stay but still room for improvement. »

The hotel has a good location with a great view. My room was clean and quiet, but unfortunately did not have any view. The hotel staff were helpful, polite, and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good.

« Close to city centre with marvellous view on Danube »

The hotel is close to city centre with a marvellous view on the Parliament and the Danube. The rooms are comfortable and there is a restaurant for those travelling for work, needing to relax in the evening. Walking distance to the Castle and many nice restaurants (15 min walk)

« Beautiful city not quite matched by the hotel room »

In general we found the hotel to be very good. The staff were friendly & helpful. However, we had decided to pay extra for an executive room - which we found disappointing. The carpet in the room 434 has multiple stains on, these look awful & really detract from what should have been a special experience. Having looked at other reviews on the hotel we found that another guest had already complained about the same problem in the same room. When paying 200€ a night for a room this is not satisfactory & lets the hotel down.

« A very pleasant hotel »

Hotel is comfortable and well positioned, it is outside the main area of activity but that does not detract from it. Positioned directly across the Danube from the amazing parliament building, it is quite a dramatic view if you are lucky enough to have a river-view room. In the restaurant the concise but interesting menu was excellent.

Reception staff generally helpful. Staff in the dinning room/breakfast were abrupt and some were downright rude. The carpets in the corridors and bedroom were filthy/full of stains.The welcome message and complementary tray from the hotel manager was well appreciated.

I was disappointed in my stay at Novotel Budapest Danube the carpets in the room 434 were filthy, dirty stains showed that this room had not bee properly serviced for some time. The front desk staff were aloof and unfriendly and often gave me the impression I was not wanted. The food in the restaurant was good but really expensive. We found places within a kilometre that had the same quality but at a much more reasonable price.

I was very disappointed by the cleanliness of the hotel when I stayed, the room carpet was filthy and although this hotel should be a key hotel in the chain because it’s position and view of the beautiful Parliament-building across the river it failed miserably to impress. The front desk staff were any thing but friendly and welcoming. We found the food in the restaurant to be excellent in taste but excessive in price to the other places where we ate. Overall my experience at this hotel was not good , I have stayed at Ibis hotels in the same hotel group which are cleaner the staff are more helpful and the stay has bee such that I would love to go again yet these hotels are not on the prime site position but make up for it in their hospitality

Friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast, excellent location. The only thing to be improved is the parking space. I had a place to park (at the hotel), but in the case of a higher demand for parking spaces, I do not thing that the hotel would have solutions to satisfy all the clients.

« Great time in Novotel Budapest Danube »

We had great time in Novotel Budapest Danube and will definitely recommend it. Location: very convenient location, 3 minutes walk from subway station. We arrived to Budapest by train and leaved by plain. We easily used public transportation both ways. And it is walking distance to most of the Buda side attractions as well as to Chain bridge and Pest side. Rooms: Good size, there were 4 of us with 2 11-years girls. Room was convenient, clean. The only problem we had - not enough power plugs to charge the phones. There were no USB plugs and only 3 regular power plugs, not quite enough for 4 phones and photo battery charge. Breakfast: We booked the rate with the breakfast included. I would recommend it. Breakfast was fresh, with good variety of food and drinks. Great start for the day. Staff: Helpful, welcoming, knowledgeable
