Generally OK, but could have been better. Key to room failed twice, laundry was not returned automatically, Elevators take too long to arrive, general issues around reception with groups of people blocking the way with suitcases.

Very dated hotel, not a 5 star property by any means. Pictures of rooms displayed on the website and booking.com are a bit misleading, rooms are smaller and amenities shown missing. In the room, except for a large screen TV everything else is super dated, including the furniture. Mattresses on the bed are old and sinking in - not very comfortable. Breakfast is another issue, very slow service, food trays on buffet are empty and not replenished regularly. They have a live egg station, which serves pre-made cold fried eggs. Food quality and taste is below average. General cleanliness in the breakfast food serving area seemed to be concerning, given the large crowds of tour groups that arrive. The only good thing was the Staff at the hotel, who are very polite and try and be as helpful as they can be.

« 4 days free and easy stay. »

We are a group of four and had book two deluxe rooms at the hotel. We choose this Hotel as it is a short walk from NaNa BTS station and very convenient to travel around the city by train. Our flight arrived early and upon checking-in we had a pleasant surprise from the front desk that they had upgraded both our rooms to suite as we had wanted rooms on non-smoking high floor. The rooms were large, bright and cosy although not new is well maintained and clean From the room you can see the city views especially during sunset, very nice view. During our 4 days stay at the hotel every staffs we encountered were all very courteous and friendly and make a point to greet the guest. We had the most pleasant stay. Breakfast was interesting, multiple varieties for us to choose. We are happy that we make a good choice and would surely stay at your hotel in our future visits. Have stayed here many times due to the location and as always the service at front desk and concierge is outstanding. However the hotel and the rooms are getting a bit old. Our shower was often cold, there was inadequate lighting in all rooms and the bathroom in particular and the air conditioning was loud and hard work to retain the right temperature. The other point is that while there are no upgrades the tariff has increased even taking into account the changing exchange rates where other hotels in Bangkok are charging similar rates for a superior room.

The stay was very satisfying, staff a very friendly. Food was good. Booking was a problem. You could not book at reception, had to use booking.com . Reception could not price match booking.com. This was a pain due to not having internet.

Bad smell hotel in my room. Maybe From sink bathroom. The room always too cold with central aircondition. On the third day I fall sick with fever. And Furniture old. But big refrigerator and microwave is a plus.

When I arrived to this Grand Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkokl, the staff were not aware of my booking (Reservation number HKJSDBHS) which was made 5 days prior. I had booked the "DELUXE SUITE WITH 1 KINGSIZE BED AND SOFA" which wasn't availiable then. And they attempt to upgade my room to an " Executive 1 Bedroom King Bed" (Room number 2018); however the Bedroom sofa was a tiny single seater not as advertise in the website.,with a lounge sofa. And the air-conditioning in that room kept resetting to normal temp and I had to very low temp in the sitting room to let the cold air in. The bathroom was also not advertise for the executive suite. I would suspect that this room given to me was an emergency spare room for overbooking situation. Overall, from my short stay of 2 days; I would hesitate to recommend this hotel to my firends or even ever want to stay in this hotel again in future.
