Spent a night in Kazan. The hotel promised free parking, but when I arrived there was no room for my car on the hotel's free parking lot :( I had to pay for a parking lot near the hotel.

« Reception staff extremely helpful »

Good quiet location just about walkable from Kazan 1 railway station if like us you find a Yandex taxi refuses the trip. Within walking distance of Tukay Square & the metro station plus the pedestrianised streets where the Tourist Info office is situated.We were checked in by an extremely helpul gentleman who's name I have unfortunately forgotten. We wanted to use local transport rather than the tourist Hop on/Hop off bus and he provided us with helpful accurate information.The only downside to our stay was that one evening there was some type of folk event in the restaurant that was so loud the reception staff were unable to hear us when we tried to speak to them. Just glad we din'dt use the restaurant.

My overall experience with Ibis Kazan is pretty good: the room was clean, all my requests were met, the breakfast at the hotel is delicious and till 11 am which is nice when you're traveling for weekends and want to stay in bed a bit longer. However air conditioning leaves much to be desired - AC was always on but did not cool the room. I opened the window at night to let fresh air in but it is very noisy outside so we had to sleep in warmth.

Positive: -Friendly and attentive staff throughout the hotel -Fast (same day) laundry service -Good location near the central Baumana street Negative: -Experienced some connection issues with the wifi network -Water pressure in the shower could be higher - especially when using hot water -The window in the room was quite small -The safe is not big enough to put a standard size laptop inside

Informed desk staff that wifi wasn't working correctly. First time had the response well nobody else has complained and on day 2, we'll tell the maintenance team tomorrow. Wifi consistently not functioning and staff attitude towards my issue terrible. On the other hand Sasha on reception was very pleasant, assisted me with directions and luggage storage., a shame the rest of the reception staff couldn't be as nice as her

Pleasant, cozy. Free internet was perfectly OK, even allowed me to follow online translation of a football match. Bed was not soft and I liked it very much, let me sleep calmly and rest properly. Nice breakfast too. Overall - exactly what was expected from an Ibis.
