We stayed one night before travelling from the airport. A very convenient location. Room was extremely good value with comfortable beds and a great shower. We did not have breakfast due to an early flight but we did have an evening meal which was good.

Initially was surprised by the minimalist approach to the reception and room but when reviewed against the cost it made a great deal of sense. I chose this hotel because of its incredible proximity to the B'ham airport. 7 mins to get from the hotel front door to the check in. At times like this all I want is a comfortable bed and a bathroom that works smoothly. I don't need frills. Was of course very pleased to have wifi - without high cost! I wish other hotels were as well placed and realized why they are selected.

Room was facing a builders yard with constant noise couldn't open windows for air Room was I think too small ok for one night but any longer and you would go stir crazy Bed was ok but pillows were as hard as house bricks food at restaurant was ok

Stayed one night for early flight from airport. All staff very pleasant. Room though obviously basic was good, very clean and bed comfortable. Restaurant extremely busy and service was extremely slow, possibly due to being understaffed. Menu was ok though the food itself was excellent with generous portions. No complaints on the whole. Will use again

Having been taken in a taxi to wrong Ibis first of all (how confusing having 2 Ibis Styles NEC) we arrived late and tired to be met by a check in person who firstly didn't bother to acknowledge us waiting just walked off. He then returned glanced at his mobile and told us we were not booked in at this hotel. I insisted I was gave him the reservation no and eventually he found it. He then asked me for i.d. I obky had my credit card but told him hotel was fully paid for. He checked us in and then rolled his eyes and muttered ' I can't believe you go anywhere without photo id'! I was tired so bit my tongue - he was very rude.

Room very small, much smaller than expected. Bathroom OK Breakfast just about adequate Biggest issue was the very long wait to receive room key, having already checked in on-line beforehand. At almost midnight, after a long day travelling back from Italy, this was most annoying Then the room keys would not work, and we had to have them Re-authorised 3 times during our 12 hour stay! Receptionist said they were always doing this

had a lovely time. the man who checked us in was very friendly and pleasant. the room was spotlessly clean, though there was a very strong smell of some sort of cleaning product. it was nice and warm, the beds were very comfy, and we slept really well. the only complaint we would have was that it was a wheelchair accessible room, which meant that the bathroom was functional, but not very nice, not like the normal bathrooms with the lovely showers. in future at check in i will be sure to ask for a normal room. otherwise, everything was great and we had a lovely stay.
