Overall a great experience and much improved since staying there about 5 years ago. The only thing I would comment on is the F&B service staff just need a little more training and experience but they have a very good attitude.

This is the very French style beautiful beach front resort. Less people and very relax. I also stayed at the Intercontinental Phu Quoc resort for two nights. Although the facilities at Intercontinental is S. new and exclusive, I prefer less people and small boutique resort Le Veranda. All staffs here is very proactive, smiling face and good reminder. I would like to express the appreciation with The Pepper Restaurant Mr. Brandon. He is a very high knowledge person of French cuisine and understand customer taste. Even I moved to other hotel, I still by taxi come to his restaurant because of the tasty foods and excellent service.

The stay at your facility at La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc was wonderful and I will definitely return as a resort guest. The onsite staff was very helpful, supportive and professional. However, as a main principal organizer for my recent wedding, I was extremely disappointed by your sales executive, Ms. Linh Tong (Tong Mai Linh), for her lack of professionalism as well as attitude. I had planned for my wedding at La Veranda on July 6th, 2019 and hired a wedding planner to assist me with the daunting tasks of planning a wedding. When my planner flew out to the resort for site check, the resort staff was welcoming and accommodating, showing my planner all the facilities that could be done for the wedding. But then, Ms. Linh Tong insisted on the planner and I working directly with her regarding all details for the wedding. Which was fine to me at that point. However, things started to unravel when Ms. Linh Tong shot down every request from our side, including the request of having the ceremony and dinner by the beach. This was the complete opposite of that the resort staff has told my planner when my planner was onsite. There were several other incidents that were extremely annoying leading up to the day of the wedding. I had to arrange a face to face meeting involving Ms. Linh Tong and the resort staff to sort out the details. Up to that point, I had required all communication to be done through emails so my planner and I could be both on the same page. But Ms. Linh Tong failed to comply. Prior to that meeting, about a month prior, I had sent over my signed agreement but Ms. Linh Tong did not send back a copy with signature from her side. Later on after the meeting and after I had repeatedly asked for, she sent me a copy saying that she had signed it a few days after the day I sent email to her. How could anyone verify this fact? She could have just back-dated her signature and sent it to me that exact same day, not the day she said she had signed it. I booked a total of 23 night rooms and a wedding package that costed almost 400 million VND (about USD$20,000) with guests flying in from around the world. But I didn't receive from Ms. Linh Tong the kind of treatment and respect the Accor brand has known for globally. I'm also an Accor member and had previously stayed at La Veranda twice. Because of your wonderful facility I had decided to hold my wedding there. It's stressful enough planning for a wedding and Ms. Linh Tong had done nothing but adding more troubles and challenges at every step of my way. Her utter lack of professionalism and Accor attitude make me question the quality of service at Accor. On the day of my wedding, she refused my guests access to basic music which usually was available for guests who have dinner there. She said that my guests and I were outside guests for events, not resort guests! My wedding guests were also resort guests as I paid for all their accommodations. How could they be outside guests??? There were a lot more incidents that would require more than the remaining 5000 characters to describe in details, from her inability to align the facts with the resort staff to her incapability to properly communicate via emails. If you would like a detailed account of what happened, with facts and evidence included, I'd be more than happy to provide. And words also fail me to convey how disappointed I was by her service during the days leading up to my wedding. As a bride, as a paying customer and as an Accor member, I should not have gone through such agony and trouble dealing with a sales executive that showed no respect and no support. I wonder if she could imagine the good publicity and potential customers she could gain from my wedding. And I wonder what kind of training has she received from Accor to carry around this condescending attitude. Such a shame that the resort staff's tireless effort was overshadowed by Ms. Linh Tong's poor attitude and working competence. I truly hope that there will be reprimanding actions taken against Ms. Linh Tong because what I'm writing here today will be the same for when I post on your Facebook and Tripadvior. I will still recommend La Veranda as a great place to relax and enjoy, but never for events if Ms. Linh Tong continues to be sales executive. Best regards, Ngoc Bao N. Accor member no. 30…0214 3

Arrived in the dark and raining and led down a long pathway and wondering what have we booked. Had picked up a virus and 40 degree temp and just wanted to lie down, finally got checked in and to our upgraded room and pass out. Next day wake up feeling better and discover a hidden paradise at the end of that long path which turned out to be not that long. The room is fantastic with a huge balcony overlooking the ocean and only a short walk to the beach or the beautiful swimming pool. Location is great with only a short walk to stores and chemist or other eateries, the staff were very helpful and friendly and housekeeping great. Only downside was TV reception, terrible. They had French Open tennis in the bar but not in room. The hotel is so lovely and quiet and relaxing we will be back for a longer stay next year.

The building and resort compound is relaxing and private. I would like to highlight to the management team to take initiative to inspect each and every room condition since is not many of it. We stayed at garden villa for 2 nights and find out that the washroom basin water outlet is very very slow. The shower door need some oil to reduce the 'moving bed' sound which very annoying. I did highlight to the front desk during check out but they seems not so pleased to hear it, not even wish to ask further but show me the long face. The customer service need improve, always see staff busy chit chating among themselves rather keep an eye on customer need. Especially the pepper tree restaurant, since it is a fine dining restaurant, please provide further customer service, example try to explain to customer what food you are offering, or suggest what dish to try. I saw customer see the price and did not understand what food provide with the high price and decide to leave without dining. Hope La Veranda do take note and provide a good class of service since there are many option we can choose to stay when we go Phu Quoc with the price we paid to the property.

The park like setting is very relaxing. The reason why we would not come back is the excessive noise at night from the band in the bar, but more so the nightclub noise coming from next door, it's not a MGallery Serenity hotel at night!
