« I had a nice stay except for few challenges as here under explained. »

-Breakfast was well served -Receptionists are well mannered and professionally serving -Room cleanliness is good - Room door opening is always a problem, you cannot just insert a room card once to open the door, you have to insert it so many times for the door to open. - There were absence of Toiletries in the bathroom. No tooth brush, no tooth paste, no shower cap, no sewing kit, no comb, no cotton buds, no hair conditioner, no body lotion, no shower gel. Only bar soap and shampoo were placed in the bathroom. - The water pressure and warm water in the bathroom was perfect. -Towels were clean and nice -Room light was okay - There was no cattle in the room and thus no tea or coffee - There was no drinking water served in the room

Front desk agent should go over the details of your reservation upon check-in. after spending the day site-seeing, my room key did not work. I was informed that my reservation was for 1- night....which was wrong! I told the agent that is impossible. thankfully I had a copy of my reservation from the Accor website-- which clearly stated my room rate (including breakfast) otherwise I would have been over charged $300USD! the room is rather small. not enough toiletries (soap,shampoo, etc) NO handtowel. NO washcloth. We do not use wire hangers in the US. Housekeeping did NOT knock on the door before entering the room. this happened 2 times !! Lobby area rug is old and needs to be replaced. Lobby bar is limited. Breakfast is OK. One of the floor panels in my rooms was lose; so I tripped several times.

The reception is undergoing renovation, as are other parts of the hotel. So, during the day better be out sightseeing. Apart from that, it is a good hotel what you can expect from Ibis standards. Breakfast buffet is really good with some local dishes to choose from. It is worth a try.

The service during check in is not very comfortable. Front desk guy was impatient, not pay attention. As we booked in EUR and he asked us to pay in local currency DHS. He said the total was DHS 2800. We paid but did get any official receipt. After 1 hour, we went back and asked for receipt which showed DHS 279X.XX. We don’t understand why he didn’t give us the change. While we asked for local map, he asked us to next door to Sofitel hotel for that. Very unbelievable.

I've stayed at Ibis hotels in other cities in Europe and Asia. The Casablanca Ibis does not meet the standards I expect of this chain. Check-in staff was unfriendly and dismissive during a normal check-in. Lighting throughout the hotel was dim including in the room. Because of lighting, the whole hotel I experienced (reception, lobby, hallway, room) felt gloomy. The room had a very strong, unpleasant cleaning product odor. The shower was lined with mold. Overall, the place felt unfriendly and it did not make you want to spend time in it.

I believe that the hotel can be managed better: the hotel is undergoing renovation; there is no information about it on the website when booking, Smell in the room, no full set of towels, poor bathroom amenities, no safe in the room, no hotel information in the room, no door chain, no door peephole and so on. To get an iron you need to take queue, it is available in the morning only.

Staff is not friendly at check-in/check-out. Hot water did not work for several hours one evening. When turned to hot faucets did not produce any water. Cold water was available.

The room was fine. Location next to train was good. However, we had 2 beers in the lounge. First we signed one bill, I put my name, room number and signed it like I have in many, many hotels in the world to charge the item to my room. Later, we get a different bill because apparently the bill was wrong so I resign. In the morning (early-6am as we were catching an early train), we come down give in our keys--the person at the desk was half asleep on a chair and just waved at us. So we begin our walk to the train station. Suddenly we are being yelled at by your employee that we didn't pay for our drinks at the bar and the we owe 120 Dirhams, we explained we charged them to our room (again as I have in many different places), your employee was very loud, very threatening, even said he would call the police, all in a very public place. I had no way to know what was happening so I ended up giving him the 120 Dirhams. We were very shaken up by the experience. Your staff need to explain things better or learn how to do things properly. In no way should guests be threaten in public and shaken down for money. I will be repeating this experience on online review groups.
