I was charged 40 omr to keep billing open ,else i would nit be able to order from restaurant and was told ,balance would be refunded when i check out,however on check out -i was told that it would reflect in my account in 7 working days -no such amount has been refunded and i cant go back to Oman for 40 omr -so obviously its more a cheating with me

When we made a plan to Oman from Dubai, we searched Ibis in our google map and head to Oman when we checked in ..we did not have anyone to assist our luggage neither showing our way to room ..the reception lady just said our room no is 508 and we had to find our own way to the room. Which we thought this might be the way they do..according to the Price of the room. And we discovered that they do have shop, shampoo but they had the dispenser which was dry..if you do not provide shop and shampoo please remove the dispenser. Room as ok according to the rates given..Breakfast was again a disaster. We felt it was cooked last night and kept and reheated again.

The room was fine and importantly the shower good. However the pillows were poor and the wash basin cramped by the WC in the toilet. Breakfast reasonable. Central location handy. Spent time checking in online but check in took more than 8 minutes, regardless.

I would rate my stay at the ibis Muscat ... good. I was disappointed as I checked in to learn that the full payment I made on AccorHotels was not recognized, despite the fact the confirmed email! Apparently, I was informed by the receptionist that ibis Muscat is not yet registered to receive on line payments? Surreal indeed. Next, the room lighting was uncomfortable and unsuitable for bedtime reading. The lighting were Wall-mounted fixtures, sconces type. I would like ibis to consider to install an adjustable ambient reading light be the bed.

High standard Ibis Hotel , much better than in Europe. Rooms are rather Mercure style. Large shopping malls in the area, supermarket very close by. Very clean rooms, no noise in my room. Can't say anything about the gym. Breakfast is standard as one can expect in an international chain. Free parking advertised (which I did not use)

Checked in late night - given an available room but very next day was changed to a room of my choice. Exceptional courtesy from all especially Mohammed at the front desk and Maria the Front Office Manager. Was allowed a late check-out in a very professional way. Restaurant staff uniformly friendly. I am used to stay at Ibis Hotels when I travel for work and they are usually very nice. This one is making my appreciation lower as I found lower quality in many things. I couldn't rest propertly because it was very noisy, housekeeping and neighboors, you can hear it all. Also there were some constructions going close to Ibis and they started before 6am with hammers… Breakfast was not that good, like some croissants look like from the day before.. Staff at the desk was fine. But they have to improve all this to stay in my consideration as Ibis Kuwait or Dubai...

Couldn't expect much from budget Hotel category. Everything was available as needed. Staff was extremely helpful. At the Reception and the Restaurant. The only thing which wasnt working properly was the AC. Needs an improvement being an Accor Brand.
