One short night at this property but the service was good and the amenities likewise. Only problem was accessing the property by car and being unfamiliar with the city. Road works defeated the GPS navigation system so we drove round in circles for ages eventually calling the hotel for assistance. In the end the concierge had to come and find us and lead us in! The hotel were well aware we were arriving by car and could have pre-warned and given directions. This seems to be a general failing with all Accor properties on this trip.

My room was comfortable with a fantastic view. Breakfast selection in the dining room was generous and a barista made coffee was greatly appreciated on arrival. My only complaint at dinner time was the high prices for desert. I find $15 deserts a bit it too expensive for me so I didnt order desert.

We were very disappointed that there was no free WiFi. We stayed in ten hotels in New Zealand and it was the only hotel with no Free WiFi. The very disappointing aspect was that we are members of the hotel chain and were only told on check out that we were eligible for free wifi. Apart from that the location was very central and close to lots of places of interest.

« Didn't meet my expectation, front office staff were very unhelpful »

Hotel location is very good, closer to everything. Front office staff were not helpful at all. My wife was struggling to bring the luggage inside through the front door but the front office staff (male staff) standing at the back of their desk didn't offer any help. This had really put a very sour taste on the stay at this hotel.

I was travelling by myself and was on crutches due to a broken foot, and the hotel staff were absolutely awesome. They assisting me without being asked; restaurant staff carried my plate, even got food from the buffet for me, the porter/concierge help with luggage, my knee scooter and have my vehicle easy to access. The service and care was exceptional - thanks you

Staff were amazing, they smiled and talked to my children (both children have disabilities and can be a handful) The restaurant had amazing food that exceeded our expectations The only thing i would change is having the full restaurant menu in the room (including kids menu)

Bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and clean. I did not like that the bathroom sink was outside the actual bathroom with the plugs for the jug altogether, I didn't like having to make coffee where I wash and clean my teeth. This is not very hygienic. Staff attitude was A1, very friendly and helpful but I left my phone charger cord in the room and it could not be located and I had to purchase another - very disappointed that this happened. I had dinner and the food was not that great, the main meal lacked flavour and the desert was dry, very disappointed. A restaurant where I can get dinner and breakfast is a high factor in my reason for booking this hotel. I thought the disappointing meal was due to the fact that it was a dine in menu but I had dinner there the next night while I was waiting on staff to find my missing charger cord and both my quest and I were again disappointed with the meal especially at the high prices charged. I would not eat dinner there again.

All very good but I left my aftershave there in the room and they could not find it when I rang to ask to have it returned. I always stay at this hotel when in CHCH and would not contemplate going elsewhere.

A really good stay, but I was pretty annoyed that I couldn't claim my Accor points. Apparently I booked 2 people and the first person gets to keep all the points including mine... Ross the concierge was AMAZING!!! (actually all the concierge staff were great helping me with big boxes etc, Ross went above and beyond organising the labelling of boxes to different destinations and everyopne helped me carry them to & from the car, this was incredible service. Thank you.
