Staff very pleasant and courteous. I couldn't find the hairdryer in my room and another was delivered promptly within minutes. I have stayed in Mercure hotels before and had good service but was particularly impressed weth the Farnham Bush.

Spacious room although too hot - even with radiator turned off and window open. Shower ok - not a huge deal of pressure. Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location in town centre. Shame the hotel bar wasn’t open after 11pm.

We stayed one night in a room on the second floor. Our room was in need of refurbishment. The bathroom in particular. Overall it was clean and functional but very tatty.

Hotel had know record of our payment, but later said we had paid, the queried payment again on checkout and made us late and agitated just before our sons wedding. Staff not helpful or knowledgable.

The check-in desks look very shabby now that the original desk has been filled in and replaced with two wobbly pedestals. Not really the best impression when walking into the hotel.

« It was ok. It was helped by the fact someone else had paid for us! »

We had to move from our first room (Which was lovely and big) as the water was filthy and brown and there was no pressure in the loo and sink. After saying it would be looked into and sorted, it wasn’t and we were moved. The second room was lovely (and clean) but unfortunately was over the bar so very noisy. The whole hotel feels tired. The gentleman on reception when we arrived was most unfriendly and seemed to lack a personality. The drinks at the bar were extortionate. The bar staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing and were also not very friendly! The highlight of the stay was the lovely black lady on reception (Sorry to mention colour but there’s no other way of pointing her out!) she was a breath of fresh air to the whole hotel. (Maybe she should give some training to other staff?!) The evening meal (it was for 22 of us) was ok. The breakfast was good! There were a few things my brother had requested (like wine with the meal) that wasn’t done and seemed to be a problem. I’ve known this hotel for many years and have been to many different functions, but this was probably the worst experience. It’s such a lovely hotel... don’t let it deteriorate any more!

« Charming Hotel for a short stay. »

We were in the hotel for an overnight trip to Farnham. The hotel corresponded to our expectations and the room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The only problem was the room was cold and the heating didn't seem help. we did ask the staff to check before we left in the evening to go our friends reception but there wasn't any difference when we returned later that night. Having said that the covers on the bed were more than warm enough to sleep comfortably. Overall impression of the hotel - very good.

Room was very hot. We arrived at 11 pm after attending a wedding to find that the radiator was on and there was no way to switch it off. Also, the room was looking a little tired. Breakfast was good.

Hugely disappointing experience from start to finish. Terrible customer service on the phone and in person. Room was adequate, but had broken lights, outdated and difficult to use heating system, and dirty shower head. I was genuinely astounded by the lack of helpfulness from the staff.

« Lovely hotel for wedding weekend away.. »

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was very relaxing and the food was delicious with a great selection of hot and cold items. The rooms were a good size but looking a bit tired and could do with a touch up in places. The towels provided were really small and barely fitted around the body (I’m a small lady too) We could also hear everything from the room above us so we were woken up very early on both mornings.

Staff were incredibly friendly and resourceful. Bed and pillows weren't exactly comfortable though. Being a light-sleeper, the events happening at the bar and beer garden kept me up late at night, which was a bit of a pain considering I had to get up early (3:45 am) for work the following morning.

Daina and her assistant could not have been better in looking after a 2-day training event. They were extremely pleasant, helpful and tireless in seeing to our needs. The food was of good standard, and all of the staff were generally very responsive to requests. Some of the delegates had issues with their rooms, mainly to do with heating (too much, or too little), and most of the rooms are a little 'tired'

« Tired and not the normal Mercure standard »

The hotel is very tired and a complete throw-back to the 80's, the only positive was that parking is free... The bathrooms are in desperate need of a makeover, the beds do not have the standard Accor mattresses. There was nowhere to eat as the restaurant was closed and all the tables in the bar were taken, after ordering a Club sandwich which took an hour to arrive I had to eat it in my room... The positive was that the staff were very friendly.
