Good location for getting into the town centre , a short walk . Good that they have parking , Food has always been excellent, room is always clean . Plenty of room at the bar for sitting with sofas around the place

As above. I mentioned the temperature to reception after the first night and they said another guest on same floor had complained and someone would look at it. The aircon blew out cold air even at highest setting. The next night was the same......

We stayed for my wife’s birthday. Everything was outstanding. There was a slight problem with one of the mattress In the room. Housekeeping firstly put a topper to it. It still wasn’t quite right so we asked if there was an alternative room. With out hesitation or feeling uncomfortable reception jumped straight to it. Thought out the two day we were there the services was outstanding. The restaurant food was far beyond what you would expect and the quantity matched the quality. All was clean fresh in the gym and spa. We will most certainly be returning. Thank you.

Perfect for our overnight stay. Enjoyed a day using the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Good size room and comfortable beds. Issue with hot water initially but it was resolved very quickly.

The hotel is nice, the facilities offered are very good. The double bed was two single mattresses pushed together which was somewhat uncomfortable.

« Lovely hotel »

Had a lovely stay with my little girls. Spa was wonderful! Loved the sauna and steam room. My girls loved the pool and it was great to know it was not too deep which made them feel safe. Very clean hotel too! Staff at bar were lovely and attentive. Room was a little cold in the middle of the night but the extra blankets in the cupboard helped. We look forward to returning very soon!

« Nice but cold »

We were upgraded to a superior room which was nice, the bath was really nice. Only issue was the lack of heat. We had to ring down and ask for dressing gowns twice as the first time we weren’t given them. We were also told someone would be up to split our beds but that didn’t happen, although in the end it didn’t matter in the end because the bed was big enough. The breakfast was really nice and the staff we spoke to were lovely.

Can't fault the room, food or the massage we got. The only bad points for us were that the bed was too hard for us and the service at the spa reception left a lot to be desired.

« Unorganised and a complete disappointment. »

I wanted a relaxing and fun spa break with my friends to celebrate bein in remission for cancer. We booked the mecure because of the 4* status and relaxing spa - this is NOT what we got. On tribal, we checked in to find our rooms were made in to doubles NOT twins - not ideal when I need an early evening rest as I’m still tired from being ill. We were missing several items from our rooms including robes & slippers. The spa service especially was in NO WAY relaxing or enjoyable. No towels on arrival, no staff to complete a deep tissue massage for one of my friends, an array of dirty robes in the changing rooms meaning no space to change (disgusting) and that’s before I even received my treatment. I booked in for a hot stone massage as this is one of the few treatments I can still enjoy. I was abruptly called in to the room by my therapist ‘Fatima’ who thrusted a clipboard at me with some questions which frankly I did not have time to complete (I signed it as I was keen to begin my treatment) and she began my massage. Having had this treatment before I was aware that the hot stones included feet and legs - THIS WAS NOT COMPLETED OR EVEN MENTIONED!!! Throughout the massage, I heard nothing but the clattering of stones from across the room which frankly, became extremely uncomfortable. I only knew the treatment was finished because Fatima lowered my bed and asked if I would like a glass of water. After waiting for a good 10 minutes I eventually got myself dressed and walked out of the treatment room where I met Fatima holding my glass of water. I said thank you to her and she walked away. I was completely and utterly embarrassed, upset and uncomfortable. My friends try to comfort me and headed back downstairs to get a towel as the prospect of a relaxing jacuzzi would have been lovely, only, STILL no towels. We were offered 1 extra robe between the 5 of us so we ended up getting dressed and heading out to lunch. This was NOT the ‘spa day’ we had hoped for, neither was it even remotely relaxing. I appreciate you were short staffed and I also appreciate that you did not have a delivery of clean laundry, however, as your paying customer this is not my fault and i absolutely do not expect to be spoken to in a manner by your front of spa staff which is down right rude. My friends and I actually ended up getting a taxi 4 hours earlier than planned and got an early train back to Somerset. We did express our unhappiness to Calvin, who was absolutely lovely - perhaps your Spa staff could take a few customer service tips from him in the future. I am so incredibly disappointed. This was such an important trip for me. I have been through hell and back in the last year and all I wanted was to let my hair down with my friends and relax. Instead, I came home half a day early in floods of tears wishing I hadn’t bothered leaving my house. I would like someone to actually respond to my complaint please as I feel it requires a reply.
