location & service good, rooms a little drab. Bar is expensive. Wouldn’t stay in the bar to drink due to cost, went to a local bar instead.

« Great time all round »

We were upgraded to a privilege room which was great but if we were staying longer it would have been nice to have slightly larger room with another chair or chaise longue. Overall though it was comfortable and quiet so enjoyed it immensely.

« Could not have asked for a better stay. »

Really friendly and efficient from booking the stay over the phone to right up to the time we left. The pool was great and warm and the kids loved it. When we checked out we asked if we could leave our car there so that we could spend the rest of the day shopping and this was not a problem. Easy hotel to find and right next to the main shopping area and Cathedral.

We stayed in privatise room. We changed room as there was a small double bed and we were told when booked it was a kingside room. The bed was comfortable but the room was not cleaned properly, all around the edges were thick with dust. Breakfast good.

Nice Hotel, in privilege room recommended for good beds and quiet location of the room. Breakfast is good beside the fact that staff tolerates people to watch movies on their Phones during breakfast which is really a bit disturbing. Other dirsturbing factor: staff removes every day the piece of soap and open shampoo and puts new items there. There is no need to throw away the soap every day - please be a bit aware of our environment!

« Very poor service and very noisy »

Have stayed at this hotel on and off for a decade and the standards have slipped. Really noisy guests outside in the car park 3 nights in a row, extractor fan not working in bathroom, tv remote had a mind of its own and a dirty throw on the bed. Very disappointing.

I booked your hotel for my son and his wife so they could have a nice break from the grandchildren. I asked about parking and was told there was room for over 100 cars. At no point was a charge mentioned. Also, they needed to check out by 12 and when they tried to use the pool etc they were unable to as there was a class going on. I know this was only a short stay due to circumstances as they live in Oxford, but I was very disappointed to find they had not had the experience I had wished for them.

Helpful and friendly staff, especially on reception and the helpful chap who took the room service order and rang back having checked dietary requirements with your chef. Room service forgot my cutlery and had to go and get them, whilst doing that I noticed they also forgot my drink and so had to come back a second time. Bit of a pain for them and me, but was done with a good grace. Breakfast a bit of a shambles, a 10 minute queue to be seated seems a bit unnecessary. Would have expected a hotel of this quality to provide cafetiere rather than teapot of coffee.

« Lost a nights sleep due to noise. »

I really like the hotel and stay frequently, however on the 12th evening it was windy outside and it sounded like something was loose outside my window and the constant banging kept me awake most of the evening.

« A well located hotel with well furnished and equipped rooms. »

Overall our experience was more than fully satisfactory. We liked our room which everything we needed. The reception might be more charming--the receptionist spoke so fast we had difficulty understanding what she was saying and the information she gave us about the restaurant being heavily booked was erroneous. Otherwise the staff were excellent.

Staff were excellent in the main. Our waiting staff in the restaurant were great. But we had to wait nearly an hour from sitting down until our starter arrived with a hungry child. When we arrived the sofa bed had not been made up. I didn't think was a problem as I fully expected the beds to be turned down for the evening later on. We got back to our room at 9.45pm to find it still not done. Reception told us they would take care of it straight away. 30 minutes later still nothing so called reception again to be told we would have to wait until the night team came in at 10.30pm. I escalaetd to the manager to be told that they would send someone straight away. It was nearly 10.45 before anyone turned up to make the bed up. This meant we couldn't get our child to sleep until gone 11pm.

The room was great and the view was beautiful. I was just a little surprised that there was only one towel in the shower, when the room was a double room, and I had booked for two people.
