Wasn't expecting the spa to be so lovely - a separate area to the main pool with 4 steam/saunas and an indoor/outdoor jacuzzi pool. Friendly service at reception, bar/restaurant and spa. Food was lovely - overall a really great stay! Only slight downside was that my room had a locked interconnecting door which was not at all soundproof and I could hear every word the person in the next room said on the phone or what they were watching on TV.

Very friendly and polite staff. I was not warned that I would be staying in a disabled room though. It was not ideal to have a very low sink with a bad back and after hours of driving. My room had a picture of woodland stuck to it. There was a smear of poo around the edge of the toilet seat and the shower head kept slipping down the pole as the adjuster didn’t work. Breakfast was very good.

Firstly can i say the spar and the staff were really nice. The rooms were good but could do with more double Glassing can hear the traffic. the food i received was not good had to send my steak back twice on the Saturday firstly the meal was cold and the second steak was sub standard. on the Sunday the evening meal was better that was because a different Chief was on. The food was disappointing and the lager in the bar was poor went on bottle beers. my opinion the head chief should set the standard and all meals should be of the same standard. would need to hear the food has improved before i return.

Overall stay was fine, hotel and room was clean and comfortable, although the floorboards in my room (236) creaked terribly- I couldn't move without then creaking. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. The breakfast was good. Dinner in the restaurant was a disappointment both nights I dined there. The burger looked and tasted like something out of a van in a lay by and the chicken and mushroom risotto the following night was more like an overly creamy rice pudding- far too rich. Presentation was poor with a chicken breast just plonked on top of it.

The staff are friendly nice & helpful. The hotel itself is a little tired. It often felt cold, including the room & dining room. the room was really quite dirty in places including the bathroom & neither of the lamps by the bed worke.

It was absolutely wonderful and the service was exceptional. The only crtique I would have is the spa probably needs a little TLC. Even though it was nice the outdoor Jacuzzi needed some new tiles and the water fall definetly needed a good clean as it was rusted and a bit grimey. Overall though it was a lovely day and all our needs were met by your reception team

Overall was very satisfied with the stay - friendly and helpful staff on arrival with no wait to check in. Both the evening meal and breakfast were really good - again, very helpful staff available on the bar and in the restaurant. My only minor issue was the shower - this took a long time to give any hot water and then went cold a couple of times too although this could simply have been the demand at the time I was using it. Other than that, the room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The setting for the hotel couldn't have been much better - really picturesque grounds with good local access. Will definitely recommend and look forward to staying again.
