Overall very satisfied. Staff courteous. Room very good. Breakfast very good Check in and checkout could have been better. Only one active member of staff to deal with a number of guests therefore delay. Confusion concerning pre authorisation of credit card despite a phone call from the hotel the night before the stay and again at check in- still not resolved as credit card record still shows two preauthorisations totalling £334 despite a total bill of £221.

Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Service at reception, in bar and at breakfast was mostly excellent. Staff very attentive and polite. Second morning at breakfast, staff were unfortunately disinterested and a little off hand which was a shame. I though quality of hotel was excellent and location too. Much better than other hotels I have stayed at in this price bracket.

Head of one of the biggest companies in Cheltenham in the seventies and eighties I was so looking forward to coming back to the Queens. Have to say very disappointing.

I booked the room in May for myself and my wife. As I have had mobility issues, since an accident a year ago and I am only able to walk with the aid of crutches. Accordingly, my wife telephoned the Hotel and spoke to reception about her concerns about good access to Parking and room access. We were very surprised therefore when we checked in to find that not only were the residents lifts out of service, about which we had not been notified, but the room, a Superior Queen room, 131, was only accessible by several staircases along several corridors on the first floor. This proved to be most difficult for me and my wife asked for a room that was more accessible but we were told that the only room available was room 123 on the first floor. This room was however, much smaller and much less well appointed than the room we were originally allocated. We were not offered a refund of the difference between the price of the two rooms. It is my intention to write to the General Manager of the Hotel to ask for a refund of this difference and an explanation of why were allocated a room with such poor access in the first place especially considering that my wife had specifically pointed out the fact that i had mobility issues. The staff on duty over the period of our stay were helpful, charming and polite and i would like to commend them.

I am sorry the first room allocated was not as accessible as requested prior to your arrival. I will investigate this and address it with my team to ensure it will not reoccur in the future. I can however assure you that both room 131 and 123 are Queen Superior Rooms – the difference in size and layouts is due to the Grade II listed nature of the building. I would like to issue you with 2500 complimentary LeClub points – for the value of approximately £40.00 as a gesture of goodwill given your less than satisfactory experience. To do this I would have to have your consent to use your email address to enrol you to our membership program. LeClub points can be used in any Accor hotel worldwide towards your accommodation charge or any extras. We had an excellent stay. Location could not be better. Very useful to have the parking facility. The hotel oozes charm & history. The furnishings throughout reflected this, very sympathetically done & with quality. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had for a long time! Excellent choices of fresh produce. The staff were friendly , professional & nothing was too much trouble!! Highly recommend The Queens!

Fantastic hotel, very quaint and in a beautiful location. The suite was all we wanted for our honeymoon. Only downside was that the person who brought breakfast to our room in the morning seemed a bit rude and forgot toast which we had ordered on the form.

poor reception staff - didn't get told about the car park charge "just come to reception when you are ready to go and we will give you a token to get out" (could have mentioned the charge, instead of implying there wasn't one). When returning from the night out, no bar open and the excuse of the receptionist was we have no staff. very poor indeed for a supposed 4* hotel. room was excellent / breakfast was very good.

As always (stayed before) great experience. Staff helpful, check in smooth. Shame the lift is out of service, but thats ok, everything needs updating from time to time! Also AC in room 326 wasn't working. Only stayed the one night, so not the end of the world.

We decided to book this hotel last minute and had very good time. The staff was really nice and helpful. Matthieu helped us with the baby cot we asked for. We had a dinner in the restaurant and again the staff was very pleasant. Christophe was really lovely. The only thing is that it would have been good to have proper mattress for our baby cot. We have been told that there were other babies in the hotel and might have all been taken already but Matthieu was very helpful to re-adjust the bed so that it does not get too hard for our baby. The room had a good design and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was really good and there was plenty of choice. We have been charged lunch by mistake which I noticed later when receiving the invoice via email. I have let them know and waiting for correction.
