« Fabulous location for exploring Bath and the surrounding countryside »

Check in was fast and efficient. There is convenient parking at the rear of the Hotel. The rooms were clean a good size and well appointed with TV, refrigerator, coffee machine and safe as well as the usual facilities of a good hotel.

The hotel itself is attractive and the staff were friendly, however, we had extremely disturbed sleep on both nights...due to the position of the room in the hotel and being on the first floor, with single glazed windows, we were kept awake by rowdy behaviour outside the hotel until 3am. Therefore, despite the good value package deal, we would not return on this premise.

The accommodations were what the hotel said they would be. The breakfasts were very delicious and the staff were very professional. We even accidentally almost over booked but the staff caught the issue before we did and they remedied it while we were enjoying our day. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who asks.

Room 127 should be a room for staff or supplies, not guests. Quite small. View outside one window is of a close by wall. Opening the window lets in cigarette smoke where staff smokes immediately below. Curtains were not fully attached to runners above.

« Lovely historical building »

I was disappointing with the quality of room for the amount that I paid for it. It felt a bit old and tired. The standard of cleanliness wasn't great. We had no soaps, the little complimentary pack of grooming things had been opened and used by someone before we arrived and the carpet needed to be hoovered. Staff were lovely and the lobby/bar area was really nice. At breakfast my wife asked if there was any vegan options and was served a bowl of beans with some toast on the side. This was the most expensive beans on toast weve ever had. However, my eggs Benedict was gorgeous. We did have a lovely weekend as it was a special treat for my birthday and we love Bath.

We stayed here for two nights. the room was spacious and well equipped; the bed v. comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Staff service was faultless. If there is a criticism, it is that the shower over the bath could do with a grab handle to enable better and safer access

« Would have been higher if I hadn;t been charged for nothing »

It was fine. Breakfast had no friend eggs when I visited and food was only slightly hotter than 'warm'. When I checked in I was asked to present a card to charge any sundries to. I was told it would not be charged to my bank account unless I actually used something at the hotel. Well I didn't and I have had 15 removed from my bank balance which I would like back immediately.

The hotel was just like the city-beautiful.Very friendly staff and a marvellous breakfast. Did not try the restaurant,then we were invited by friends,but it looked good. Closed parking in a city with limited parking-can not be better. I love Bath and Hotel Francis and hope to be back very soon-if Boris welcome me after BREXIT.....

« Lovely hotel »

The hotel is charming and beautiful, very comfortable, and located in a lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed walking to many of Bath’s famous sites as well as the excellent shopping and restaurants. The only suggestion we must give is the shower really needs a handrail for safety, especially because it is elevated almost a foot above the floor. Otherwise the room was very modern and attractive, and the entire hotel was lovely, staff was friendly and helpful.

« OK, but one or two aspects need tightening up »

I enjoyed my stay, however there are one or two things that need sorting out to move you to the next level. The towel rail needed reattaching to the wall properly. It was not fixed correctly in the first place I think.. I didn't find the water because it was in the wardrobe. Could it not be placed on the bedside table?

We are regular patrons at the Theatre Royal and we always stay at the Francis. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was as expected. The only minor issue was that one bedside table light was not functioning.

We pay regular visits to Bath and always stay at the Francis. Friendly and helpful staff as always and good breakfast to set us up for the day. So handy for shops and museums to browse. Room clean and comfortable with good night's sleep. We will be back early next year.

I had a wonderful stay. Very comfortable bed and good breakfast. Staff were great. We checked in as 3 people - we had a roll away bed brought to the room for my son but we never received an extra towel or drink of water even after requesting it at the lobby. I also emailed the hotel twice after checking out because my son left a small pillow in the room and he really missed it after we got home but i got no response from any of the emails I sent to H6… If the pillow is still there i would really like it back. reservation number: No.HPXLGBHM.
