« Perfect stay »

We had booked the last 2 nights of our vacation on Novotel CQ. Being a Gold member I was upgraded to a suite. Perfect way to end a vacation. We enjoyed access to the lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks in the evening. Being on level 24, looking out over Clarke Quay and MBS sipping on a glass of wine. Can not complain. Smooth and friendly check-in. Just a great and perfect stay.

Most benefit of staying here is the location. 3 Metro stations, as far as we know, are nearby and a bus stop is just in front of the hotel. 7-11 is next door. Behind the hotel is a local market where you can find good local food.

The location of the hotel is excellent and it is easy to go to a lot of tourist place. The breakfast is delicious and have a lot of variety. The only complaint is the water is too hot. It cannot be adjusted.

Great and special note of thanks to my housekeeping staff (Nancy). The hotel room is pleasant and comfortable. I loved the layout and choice of colours. Would love to be back gain. Also, staff at the lobby who helped with taxis is excellent and friendly too. Kudos to all and well done.

« 8th floor room attendant is brilliant! »

I was actually wanted to request for a pillow but seeing housekeeping team busy cleaning the room I decided to request at night time . One the of room attendant at 8th she is very smart and attentive. She took a pillow for me straight away. She is great and lovely ! Not forget that the two guy from 8th floor room attendant is also doing a good job . Very afficient! Good job for three of them

« A happy one except for the breakfast »

Staff experienced and friendly. However very disappointing breakfast experience both days we were there. stayed at Bencoolen Ibis last year so were happy to return on our stayover enroute to Australia from UK this year. Are you cost cutting ? that's the only reason I can think of to explain the poor quality of the breakfast. There seemed to be a huge selection but the English style breakfast was way down on expectations. At 9 am the first day there was no white bread,no jam,no English breakfast tea bags. No staff about to ask. Items were replenished later. Bacon both days was inedible and otherwise there was only eggs, baked beans and not inviting looking sausages. So different to our experience last year when we were able to set out on our days exploring with a full breakfast under our belts. Will be looking at other accommodation next year I think. A good breakfast is so important. !!

Overall, a good stay. However, was told that Handy phone was out of service, was quite disappointed and was looking forward to using it. Breakfast was quite chaotic. Even though I am Accor Gold, I was not shown to the reserved area which I only noticed after I finished my breakfast. I was told to sit at the bar.
