Quite well located, this unpretentious but friendly hotel offers much. Located on Hindley Street, it is not far from the Rundle Mall, the cultural centre, and 1.3 km to Victoria Square. Rooms tidy and solid, and the Reception and Dining room functioned well. I would stay here again.

The customer service was great. Car park easy to get in out of. The bed was very comfortable TV in good spot to watch from the bed. Only one think people closing doors in loud way late at night.

I was given a ground floor room. The room smelled of drains. The bar fridge light and fan noise kept me awake. I was locked out of my room on the second night so had to sleep in another room. I went to have breakfast at 0900 only to discover it was over (I wasn’t warned about this unusual timing policy). On checkout I requested the invoice be emailed to me. It wasn’t until I returned to the hotel later that day to request it again.

« Poor booking experience with even worst front desk experience »

Booked room on app 3 hours before arrival on the special winter offer plus $1 breakfast offer. Had to confirm $1 breakfast as part of booking process which only showed $20+ breakfasts. Picked this up with front desk, showed him photos of what I was offered. He did nothing to rectify, Rang customer service phone call was dropped as no one was available, messaged Accor directly asking for an urgent call - 24hours later still no call. Misleading advertising and a ridiculously poor experience. Doesn’t matter if the room was good you ruined my stay and wasted my time before I stepped into it.

Overall the property is well presented and clean, the rooms are also neat and tidy and a good state of repair. And check in and out was a simple process. The only fault I could pick was the car park is quite small.

« Constant trade distributions have resulted in me no longer staying at the Rockford »

I have stayed at the hotel a number of times and it seems there is constantly either construction going on, loud patrons, or ridiculous noise coming from the liftwell. This visit resulted in my needing to leave the hotel to actually get any work done from the drilling and banging from ongoing works. When i spoke to reception i was advised that it is mentioned on the website and works wont finish till 5. While this may be true, when booking through company systems the website is not visited, as such i would have assumed something would be mentioned at check in. It was not. I also checked the website and it is very clearly implying the only inconvenience will be due to pool access. It does not state that the noise would be bad enough that even the member at reception said the works are so loud it gives him a headache. Additionally, trade vehicles and trades on site are a constant nuisance. On the Wednesday at approx. 7pm i struggled to leave the carpark due to a trade ute blocking the exist and on the friday i left i felt rushed to leave as a trademan what asking if i was leaving so he could take my park. I have seen that you have works ongoing till at least October and as i will be traveling to Adelaide monthly over the next 2 years, i will not be staying at or recommending the Rockford again.

It is extremely regrettable that your recent stays appear to be during a major stage of demolition and heightened level of noise impact - your experience highlights we need to do more to support guests who are supporting us through the process. It is a fluid landscape and we are endeavouring to provide renovation schedules as they are known across multi communication platforms to continue our commitment of transparency of interruptions and works – we are hopeful we are soon to emerge from the demolition phase. Please be assured we are committed to addressing these challenges and will actively review ways to reduce customer impact and improve our guests experience; ie trades on site and speed of digital renovation update communication.
