Overall it was ok. A couple of minor problems. When I checked in no had realized I have a Sofitel gold card even though I’ve often stayed at the hotel. But the staff in the Club lounge were really nice as usual.

the check-in service was very nice. The room smelled bad and was too hot. The AC control unit did not work. My colleague also told me that his room smelled bad and had the same problem with the AC unit.

hotel is very old and location is not ideal especially if you want to visit the old city or the wanda indoor ski center. the interior looks very tired. breakfast quality needs to be improved considerably. not sure the value for money. my room was also very warm throughout the night

First of all, Thank you for complete my requests (connecting room and late check-in). Anyway I and me family waited for check-in so long time because of missing something in your payment system. I'd booking in advance payment but your staff said nothing. Hopefully that this event will not happen again. But overall, everything is fine. except air conditioner was not cold.

the front desk give me the wrong invoice with wrong company title, and then the next day , i ask the hotel to give me the right invoice, and the front desk ask me to pay for the sending fee from haribin to shanghai .which is extremely unacceptable. and then , when i said i donnot want to pay the money, they threatened that they would not send me the invoice with the right title, i have no choice but accept their offer, and pay CNY 23 for the sending fee. I am very angry very depressed about this shit behavior, and i need a explain and i donnot want to pay this CNY 23 , because it is the hotel's mistake and i donnot want to pay for their mistake!!!

We stayed at Sofitel Harbin because of past experience staying in Sofitel Xi’an and Chengdu last year. But sadly the experience fell short of our expectations. We paid extra to be upgraded to the Executive level and were given executive lounge excess but they told us that the 19 floor lounge was closed for renovation when it was in fact not. They told us we could have our happy hour at the lobby bar but they served only a few small desserts and cut fruit and red or white wine. That’s all for the first night so I gave feedback that night. On the 2nd night they added some cold cuts and hand sandwiches and pastries but still no hot food and no other drinks were offered. On the 3rd night again the same. On the 4th morning we wrote a handwritten feedback to the guest experience manager Lisa and only on the 4th and final night of our stay did they re-open the executive lounge with what we normally expect of an executive lounge service. Even then they did not have hot soup or butter for the bread rolls. The rooms on the 18 floor (we had 2 rooms) were adequate but it was so hot at about 28 deg C and stuffy in the room coz the AC was turned off. Lisa finally provided us with fans for the last night of our stay. And she also checked on us regularly to try to help us but there was not much she could do. Breakfast at the 2nd floor was mostly good and the manager there (from Italy) took good care of us everyday. The chief concierge Joseph Du was excellent and helped us in many ways. Complements to him. On our departure day, the hotel car took my parents and family to the wrong (domestic) terminal instead of the International Terminal for our flight back to Singapore. He left us there stranded and we had to find our own way by bus to the correct terminal. So it was not a very pleasant stay and was stressful at times. There appears to be lack of communication between front desk and F&B and guest relations and driver, as to what our needs were and what was promised to us when we checked into the hotel. So very often we were not kept informed and we received wrong information many times during our stay. Service recovery and communication can be improved.

Despite of the nice room and kindness of the manager on our arrival, we were really disappointed by (most of) the staff which is not helpful and has difficulty to speak English. Moreover food was really so so (frozen sushis, etc) and took a while at the sushi restaurant. And during our check out we had to pay our room even if we had received a Zero balance note with our confirmation letter after giving our credit card details during booking to pay it. It was not clear at all and was a real mess to get a clear explanation. It lasted about 3ominutes (without any supervisor coming to help) and we have to check all our credit card statements to verify if they hadn't charged it twice and why they didn't charged it previously according to their confirmation letter. A non-sense! The Staff really needs to improve their attitude towards clients and their english. For instance, I asked for help during my stay to a Clerk (while she was walking in the lobby) and the Clerk didn't even stop to answer me, saying that she had no time ! Really???
