The hotel and room were beautiful. The food and the restaurant was unbelievably expensive. That may be the norm for Amsterdam, but it took us by surprise. Although the bathroom was very well designed, I did note that the bathtub was not clean, and the hinge cover on the rimless shower door had mold in it.

I was upgraded to a Junior Suite with free mini bar which was nice. Hotel was less busy than previous stay. Summer dip I believe. Check in very fast. No queues seen at reception at all. Restaurant on the one evening I ate there once again over cool. No main course specials. Food nice. Breakfast experience improved over last stay - chef present to cook eggs on each day. Room much cleaner than previous stay though still some oversights (skirtings, under toiletries tray, not removing empty used plastic cup nor used (empty) wine glass). Hotel (group) policy of tucking in duvet on all sides and top is annoying as you have to unmake and remake the bed before you can use it (pulling duvet out at pillow end also lifts sheet - maybe sheets too small? - so you have to to then tuck the sheet back in at top and sides. It may look neat but is not customer friendly - visual aesthetics winning over customer practicality.

2 things I keep on stating in all the surveys an I don't see any improvement: - very poor bathroom amenities (lacking of basic things) - no gluten free and diary free options at breakfast for someone like me often on a business trip this is not ideal

The welcoming part was great, I saw smiles everywhere, positive energy. The room was clean. I have turned off the AC, but still was cold at night so slept under two duvets. I usually expect in this kind of hotels additional helpful during the business trip attributes- I was missing ear buds and some body lotion. Something could have happened so I would be missing sewing kit to sew buttons.

Lovely staff and Rooms - nice hotel but the menu choice is very limited and average - I ordered chicken skewers- they were dry and the sauce was like it had been warmed up out of a packed and just poured on. Overpriced for the quality Luckily I only had one night - overpriced breakfast - I went to the airport for more than half the price.
