There is a mess in your booking system - despite me (Janis Eisaks) being the person who paid the accomodation for me and my colleague A. Jansons, I still do not have the proper invoice for submission to my accounting department. For unknown reasons Mr. Jansons is seen as the person with whom the corresepondence on invoicing should be maid.

« The stay was very pleasant but in the end I will only remember the difficult preparations »

The booking system was not flexible at all. I had several request but the booking manager told me almost every time that she wasn't able to adjust these request do to the system. My stay itself was very pleasant. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was excellent.

The service from reception either for checking in or checking out, it was really disappointed. It was not busy at both occasions but when a new counter was open and the staff randomly asked anyone to come forward rather calling people queuing in line. When people started to make a query why it is so, the staff was very cold and not even bothered to explain. It seemed that there was no respect from the staff and it was really fallen below the expectation of services based on Novotel standard. Disappointed

The room was comfortable and convenient to the business location we were at. Being near the mall and metro also was helpful. Breakfast was fine. The room itself could have used more power outlets (why is there only one on one side of the bed and not one on both?). Cleaning was efficiently done while we were at breakfast which was most appreciated. Staff were generally friendly, though check in and check out were neither efficient nor pleasant. Also, you could try to have it better signed or make it clearer on how to get between the metro and the hotel. It eventually makes sense when you are there, but new people end up spending lots of time wandering aimlessly around car parks and the mall.

« Was ruined by the breakfast experience »

The room and check in was a typically good experience for your hotel. I have stayed 4-5 times before! But I invited a guest to join me for a breakfast meeting and prepaid an extra breakfast. The guest came with a colleague and instead of breakfast they just had a tea and a coffee. Your staff wanted to charge me for the drinks. When I explained I had prepaid an additional breakfast they told me it doesn’t matter the drinks are extra. This leaves me with a feeling of being cheated!

« I had a wonderful family break! »

Overall, my stay at the Novotel Moscow City was very positive. The staff were friendly and helpful. I very much enjoyed the convenient location of the hotel in Moscow city. To improve further the services, I would suggest for Security Guards to be more friendly to incomers into the building and hotel cleaning staff to reduce loud conversations in the hall during morning times. The food in the restaurant was delicious and waiters have been outstanding in service. Thank you Novotel for such a great treat!

Rooms where nice and clean. The frontdesk/reception was slow! We had to wait at the fast checkin (we where the only ones btw) but at the reception peopke prefered talking to each other rather then reaching out. Ones we where noticed it was nothing like fast checkin. It took like 10-15 minutes! When needing assistance from the room i called a few times. No one was picking up so i had to go out my room, down to the reception with my request. A last thing, when taking a shower, the water smells like an old smelly bottle of water. Something wrong woth the stockage of warm water boiler i guess.

I was very happy with almost everything about this hotel. It was nice. The room was a good size. Nice bathroom and shower. Excellent service for breakfast. And very good breakfast. The only issue I had was that the air conditioning / heating didn't seem to work properly.
