1. Location is excellent. 2. Check-in and staff always friendly. 3. Every time I stay it seems that one of the elevators is out of order. At peak times elevators are always insufficient, especially when Viking groups come and go at the same time. 4. Signs of wear were evident in my room. The desk chair was coming apart at the seams. Paint was chipped by the luggage rack, and part of the door veneer was scraped off. 5. Breakfast is usually very nice.

On arrival at 11.00 we were advised that our room was not yet available. We were fine with this and given a buzzer to alert us when the room might be available. We looked for our baggage to place in the storeroom only to find them remaining in the street. After walking around Paris for three hours we returned to the hotel and waited another hour. At 3.00pm the buzzer had still had not activated so we approached the check in counter and we were advised that our room was now ready. No apology no explanation. During our brief stay the foyer was congested and in disarray with an abundance of Viking travellers. Surely there must be an area that they could congregate other than the foyer.

Overall I was disappointed with the hotel. This is the 3rd room I book at the the Paris location. I let them know I was celebrating my anniversary. I wasn’t necessarily expecting anything extravagant but some chocolate or fruit, I was hoping for. Nothing. Check in was easy. After a long flight we were tired. We stayed on the fifth floor. The carpet was dirty and after my husband took everything out of his suitcase, we realized we were in a wheelchair accessible room. No shower door. Showering was such a mess and baths were not possible. The entire floor was wet after we showered. So frustrating. The bed was extremely noisy, the mini bar couldn’t be opened no matter what we tried, and the complimentary water was not left for us after second night. It was there after our third night. We decided to have dinner at the restaurant downstairs because of the beautiful view only to find out we could only have drinks outside, no food. Very disappointing. After dinner we go outside for drinks and stayed out there for 30 minutes but no one took our order. The next day people were having dinner outside. REALLY???????? So we thought OK, let’s try again tomorrow. So on our third night we decide to have dinner downstairs only to find out that we can not have dinner outside. It’s soooo random, I really don’t understand. Unfortunately we didn’t have reservations anywhere else and wanted something nice. Disappointed again. The breakfast offer is good. I liked everything except the scrambled eggs. Skip the scrambled eggs they are absolutely gross. The omelette bar is much better. The hotel is at a great location. Close to metro, Eiffel Tower, and hop on hop off busses. I was too tired to complain but I wish I would have. This was our last stay at this hotel.

For the price of 400 Euro, the only 2 good things I can say are the view of the Eiffel Tower and your employee, Kwame, who was wonderful. There was an Indian woman at the front desk when we arrived late that evening who was very unpleasant. The air condition in our room was virtually non existent, even when it was turned down as cold as possible. My wife woke up with numerous bites on her legs, leading us to believe that there is a bed bug problem. Also, the quality of the room was marginal in our opinion. Also, the fact that you can book for about half the price online versus the advertised price that you have up on your wall, seems very sneaky and dishonest to me. Luckily, I knew better and didn't pay those crazy prices, though I would say that for 400 euro this was an incredibly poor value.

« Good location but lack of service. »

The room was good, the view was wonderful. Service wise lack of. 1. Upon check in, the staff aware my first reservation until the 2nd and the next one from 2nd to 3rd. It’s a back to back booking which she reconfirm with me on the 30th. On the 2nd, I was chase for due out which I have another reservation. I need to approach Front Desk to revalid my key card. All this can be done upon check in on the 30th however the staff fail to do so. If not why do you reconfirm my reservation upon check in? 2. Either the first or second night, I request for another bottle of water. Guess what, I waited for 2hours despite follow up call to chase on it. The next night, I waited for 1.5hours again on bottle of water. Do check the recording they sent it to my room and number of times I called. You won’t believe how long I waited. On the 31st, I approach Concierge on the dress code to a dinner which he was very helpful to call the restaurant for me. Overall, I do enjoy my stay in here which I will choose this hotel again.

Lovely Suite, very nice staff. Very confusing lobby a bit chaotic. The parking does not belong to the hotel. Breakfast was a nightmare experience from unfriendly staff to very poor variety. The breakfast is definitely a big NO.

« You stole my money »

I travel a lot. Most hotels will return you the money if you cancel in advance, or if you have a valid reason. On this trip, I made a mistake of thinking that the organizers were only paying one night, so I made an independent reservation. When I learned that they were indeed paying both nights, I tried cancelling and this was denied. So basically, you charged double for me to stay that second night. Completely unacceptable business model!
