The Bangkok Ibis Hotel (Nana). is a first rate 3 star hotel. I have stayed at this hotel many times and I have always been very satisfied with its services and comfort. I expect to be checking in again very solon my way back to Europe from Australia. Without a doubt it provides very good value for money.

1. Room size is ok not to small but bath room is a bit small. 2. All room are non smoking. 3. Staff at check-in counter is good , except the men staff who is arrogant at guest which upset me. 4. Bellboy and Shuttle staff is Awesome , Very kind with Courtesy.

« Affordable hotel in sukhumvit »

Nice hotel, breakfast have enough selection with 1 local dish that change everyday. Local cuisine lunch ala carte also good. It is a bit too far to BTS Nana, fortunately they have shuttle from hotel, wish they provide the journey back to hotel. at least by appointment.

I was assaulted in your dining room breakfast buffet February 4th around 10am. This was a racist attack by a muslim guest known to the hotel who openly stated he hated Americans. I am a New Zealander and am totally mystified as to why I was assaulted and left with a bleeding ear . I am a retired hotel owner and didn’t wish to make a fuss thinking that management would probably make compensation a bit further down the line but NO all that was forthcoming was a verbal apology which frankly is not good enough. Other guests who witnessed this shameful outburst were anxious that I should involve the police which I understand the hotel did in removing this terrorist but that didn’t help me because I thought by not making a fuss I was helping retain the good name of the Ibis Nana, the Ibis name in general, tourism in Bangkok and in fact Thailand. Had the media been involved I am sure it would’ve been international news and not the sort of news tourism wants so I am confused as to why I have not been compensated in any shape or form. I believe management has slipped up badly by having a most unhappy guest which was avoidable and I can tell you I am very unhappy. I truely expected when I checked out 48hrs later that maybe my accommodation may’ve been made complimentary or some vouchers offered but no not a thing not even anyone to shake hands and say thanks, so instead of a happy guest walking out the hotel you have an unhappy guest walking out of the hotel and that gives the unhappy guest the chance to put this frightening story on social media and amongst unfavourable hotel reviews. Totally avoidable , appalling management. I have always stayed Ibis Nana but this experience has altered my opinion of this operation. Safety first and if you can’t guarantee that in these volatile times I’m afraid you could be in for a difficult year. Yours Sincerely. Meredith W. [room 638]

The stay was OK at first but when it comes to night, the corridors outside my room was noisy where I could hear people speaking loudly from the last room and my room was directly opposite the lift which is Room 415. I could slightly tolerate this as because its not really the hotel's fault but allowing prostitute to gather outside the hotel around the guard house was very disgusting and unacceptable. I hope the management can do something about it. I could remember this is not a one star or two star hotel but my experience towards this hotel is like a 1-2 stars only. Nevertheless, the staff of the hotel was helpful and great.

I was very satisfied, the only complain I have, that the reception did not always call me BEFORE when a guest visits me, so suddenly someone knocks on my door and I was unprepared.. but sometimes they call me before which suits me. Please let them know to always call before AND after visits. thx

The room had everything required from a comfortable bed to good shower and a kettle, safe and small fridge. Go early and the breakfast is terrific - wide choice and hot options rotated every day. I didn’t get bored in a 20 day stay. Later it does get very busy however. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The location is great. Wifi did ‘die’ every now and then, but was good 95% + of the time. It can sometimes be noisy but this wasn’t frequent, and is really down to the manners of other guests, and is a factor in budget hotel living anywhere in Asia. The one thing I thought was very sub-standard even for a hotel in this category was the English language channels on the TV. When you feel like it’s your lucky day when Free Willy 2 comes on, something is wrong. Fabulous selection of Thai channels but for who - it’s not the guests.

Thanks for asking the feedback. It's almost more than 6 years I am using Ibis Accor hotel at Nana soi 4. Every time the experience is different. This time we found the staff more friendly which make us more happy. As usual the room are always clean and up to mark. I would highly recommend friends to stay and have wonderful experience. Since I have seen many Indian coming to this hotel, so would request Ibis team to have at least one item in breakfast (like paratha, Pohaa, upma, idli). I am sure this will make Indian guest delight.
