It wasn't my first time, I love Ibis. Main reason is its location and convenience. I do always suffer from the breakfast options, being a vegan. Everything is animal-based, even the milk. All hotels should include Soy or Almond milk, as some people are vegan or lactose-intolerant. Salad option cannot be justified to be paid for in the breakfast section if you are a vegan. Another small problem is the bathroom - I wish there was more space on the sink, to place our stuff. But overall, it's my main hotel to visit when I am at Yerevan.

2 main things to improve: - check-out time not to be so strict! 2 reminders are too much - at least a kettle for hot water to be available in the standard room without having to upgrade to premium and pay extra 10$ per night

I have always said that its the people who make the difference. This was the case with this hotel. I reached very early in morning and they accommodated my request for an early check in. We booked the ibis Yerevan Center because we were looking for a clean, reasonably-priced, centrally-located place to sleep. We wound up being quite impressed by this hotel: service was impeccable, lobby (and lobby bar) was perfect, room was very functional. Honestly, we were far more impressed by ibis than we were with our 5-star hotel in Tbilisi.

Rooms are very small, not having a gym in the hotel or nearby is a bummer, especially for business travelers who stay for 1 week +. Breakfast is very poor, also not fresh—I got food poisoning. Not only I will never stay in this hotel again , but I will actively discourage everyone to stay away from it. I had cilmbed Mt. Ararat , and on my way back I called the hotel from Georgia's border to book a room just for one night ( 4 am to 11 am ). I was charged 44000 dram, excluding breakfast ( about $92) but when I got to my room, and checked Expedia's website the same room was about $68! There were two young ladies at teh front, and one was terrible.

« Bedroom equipped with all necessary items, including a convenient desk, and everything in working order. Staff very polite in dining room. »

The bedroom contains everything the guest could reasonably want and all the equipment worked properly. The staff in the dining room, whether at breakfast or at dinner, were exceptionally polite and cheerful. The food came quickly (I ate a limited meal each of the five evenings I was there) and was tasty. My one disappointment was over the cancellation of one of the nights I was to stay in the hotel: this was the night of the 10th August, because I had discovered that my flight was booked for the morning of the 10th rather than the 11th. I notified the hotel more than 24 hours in advance of coming, as I was asked to do, and on my arrival in the hotel in the morning of Monday 5th August was told that the night of the 10th would be credited to me. When I talked to the staff at the reception on the night before leaving (i.e. the night of the 9th) I was told that for the cancelled night to be credited to me I must ring up the company through which I had booked the room in the first place. If this had been said to me before coming I would have accepted it as part of the conditions of booking; equally if it had been said to me when I arrived I would have found it strange and inconvenient, and would have been annoyed that I had not been told in advance: the booking company's instructions were simply to notify the hotel at least 24 hours in advance of arrival. However not to tell me of this at the time of arrival provoked confusion and high inconvenience. I was told that the hotel cannot tell the booking company, whereas the customer must: there is some logic in this, but nevertheless it is hard to see why the hotel cannot inform the booking company, forwarding the customer's cancellation email. I was told to phone up the booking company or write them an email: clearly these things take time and are the last thing I want to be concerned with as I leave. The matter was so annoying that I still have not taken it in hand.
