« nice hotel, with parking »

In a new shopping centre, the rooms are far better than normal. Had to change rooms as cigar smoker had stunk out the roomRestaurant OK but limited menu and hours. A bit of a problem s the huge number of people in centre fill the restaurants near by with queues out the door. improve the restaurant and you would have a great hotel, or if you like to wait for hours outside a restaurant, this is the place for you

« Still our preferred hotel for Lyon, but parking is an attention point »

We enjoyed our stay in the Novotel Lyon Confluence as much as the many previous times, because of its nice location and setting, friendly staff and good service, and navette to the city. However, for the first time we had at problem with finding a parking place: it took us more than an hour to get a place. The commercial center was flooded by customers because of some commercial action and because the hotel parking is no longer restricted to hotel guests, the whole parking was blocked by an endless stream of cars looking for a place.

« Confortable and service as expected. »

Stay was as expected, the only remark would be that when we came back from our diner outside the hotel, the car park reserved for the hotel was full, we had to park outside the reserved area.

The hotel was pleasant but the overall stay was ruined by having my jumber (pullover) stolen at breakfast. At 10:10 (Wednesday 23rd) myself and 2 colleagues were still at the breakfast table with staff clearing up around us. We were the only 3 guests still in the area. We moved from the breakfast area to the bar area to work, which is in the same area. By the time i had set up my laptop (5 minutes maximum) I realised that i had left my jumper on the back of my chair. Staff had cleared our table and tables had been rearranged. I asked the staff if they had seen my pullover but they said no quite abruptly. We had seen no one else enter the dining / bar area in the few minutes that i was setting up my laptop. I asked at reception but had been told nothing had been handed in. As an Accors member i was extremely disappointed by both the fact my item had been stolen and by the staff attitude.

« Could be better »

The experience was okay. However, when we called staff to bring us cutlery, they said we had to go get it ourselves.. mind you, we had a baby in tow.. I’m sure they could just have brought us some cutlery.. And upon check out at around 11 am there was only one cashier and a really long line .. we actually stood on that queue for about 30mins.. really glad we didn’t have a plane or train to catch.

Ordered a double bed, got two single beds put together without a mattress covering the two. Curtains were dirty. Shower head was leaking. Air condition did not work. Reception was pleasant.

The rate from the online travel agency lower rates from direct hotel/ Accor In addition there was an available room in your hotel and there was no available room from Accor App in the mentioned day!! Don't forget that I have a silver membership with Accor

« Could not use the bar »

Hotel and location great. Decided to return after dinner to have a drink in the hotel bar. When we arrived found that a band was playing so loud that it was not possible to even speak to each other. Tried to sit outside and still too loud. Decided to call in a night and went to room, could still hear band in room. We normally love live music, but this was just too loud. Complained in the morning at checkout and the member of staff just laughed and did not take complaint seriously.

« A very convenient hotel »

On arrival the receptionist was polite, efficient and spoke better English than my French! The room was an upgrade from the one I booked online. We stayed at the same hotel with our 2 dogs in Dec 2017 - in the two years the room is looking a little tired- we reported the flashing light in the fridge on departure as well as the glass between the bathroom and main room was set on opaque! I booked through the Accor website the rate using my membership was the same as booking.com!! Like all modern Novotel’s the room is comfortable.

« Our favorite place to stay for a visit to Lyon »

We have made it a habit to stop at this hotel when traveling from Belgium to the south of France or back, and already do so for at least 10 times. We like the location of the hotel, near the Saône, in a complex that was the starting point of a very nice urban renewal. We like the walk along the Saône to the city center, or taking the shuttle boat near the hotel. We like sitting on the terrace of the hotel in the evening, admiring the sunset. And of course, enjoying the always friendly and efficient staff and the good service.

The Location, the service level,the room and the breakfast were just great . We tend to stay there each time we travail to Lyon or during a stop-over. We recommend this place for both business and private reasons.

From start to finish a very good experience. The welcome was very good, especially since our wedding anniversary was acknowledged. Parking was excellent in wide spaces with security. Easy access to the hotel by lift, straight from the parking which was clearly signposted. Room was flawless and the trouble had been taken to leave us an anniversary message in red hearts on the bed. The view was of Fourvière and part of the shopping centre. There was instant access to the shopping centre but it was hard to believe that we were beside the shops. Breakfast was extensive and replenished regularly.
