« Perfect location and a modern hotel. »

Room was large with floor to ceiling windows and great views of the mountains and the city. Every single attendant from at the door to at checkin counter to breakfast were exceptional. Walking distance to the beach and top clubs was another plus.

« Staff were very accommodating and professional however the quality of the rooms, fixtures, fittings was below Pullman standard »

Initial impression was very good, entering lobby and check in / bar area. Interactions with staff were of a high quality. Despite receiving confirmation that our room would face the pool we were issued with a room facing the road. Thankfully we were relocated after two nights after making a request at the front desk. The window did not seal properly, even after being attended to (promptly) by the maintenance staff. The air conditioning performance in the room was non existent, as a result the room was very stuffy and dry. Breakfast was as expected at a Pullman. Check out process was efficient and hassle free Prior to my five nights at the Skipper I stayed at the Mercure Condor for four nights. Some elements from the Condor that should be checked; pillows and bedding were of a higher quality than Skipper, air conditioning at Condor was excellent, bathroom towels were soft and opulent in comparison with Skipper.

Came to Barcelona as a graduation present for my daughter, and couldn't have found a better place to stay than your hotel! The entire family had a great stay in a well-appointed room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful patio and a magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea. The rooftop pool area offers a vista of the sea and the city, the staff was helpful and energetic, both pools are well maintained, and the restaurant is first class. We look forward to a return trip soon!

We arrived around 2AM on the morning of the 4/07, having mistakenly booked the junior suite for 5 & 6/07 but the staff (Roberto) did check us in real fast and brought us to the room in "a speed of light", knowing that we were so tired. Throughout our stay, all staff provided us excellent service, from the concierge to the reception desk...

« Good start of the Barcelona experience »

Like the lobby and facilities on the ground floor but hotel room was a bit outdated and the mattress was not comfortable after sleeping more than 2 nights. The roof top pool was mean and terrible.

« Great location, attentive staff »

From the minute we walked in we felt welcome. I booked a standard room but got upgraded to a room with a balcony, perhaps because of my membership with Accor hotels. The room overlooked the garden/pool area and just made for a relaxing atmosphere. A short walk to the beach and the marina with lots of good dining options. Bus stops conveniently located, helpful if you don’t feel like walking far. Bonus was a Nespresso machine which staff brought in after we remarked we were hoping for one. I would stay here again given the opportunity.

We stayed 3 nights, over a weekend, late June 2019. Positives: great reception, informative, rapid and courteous. Good food both at dinner and breakfast, with continued good service. The location was near a beach and well served by transportation. Negatives: the rooms facing the sea/pool are not soundproof so the noise wafted up and made sleeping troublesome. The rooms could use some updating; they are a bit old and do not reflect Accor standards. I Housekeeping was the main bone of contention. We had to call every day because various items had not be replenished. Not 5 star service at all.

Attending a conference next door, i booked this hotel due to my accorhotels platinum status and the benefits I usually receive. Despite having asked well ahead of the stay and again when checking in online as well as at the desk I was not given any upgrade. I understand the hotel was fully booked and this is typically then that upgrades are feasible as not every guest booked premium rooms. My request was just ignored that is the bitter taste that i keep from my stay. A colleague having no status got a suite while he did not even book via the accorhotels website but via booking. Not too sure what your logical explanation will be?! I paid over 300 euro per night... and at this rate I should expect a bit more than a standard room.

It is a pity that the outside part - the terrace - of the breakfast room is covered. They open the plastic side walls of the covered area, but the real feeling of having breakfast outside is gone. Very sorry. And the rooms are worn out. Worn carpet (in 2019, hotel rooms with dirty, unsanitary solid carpet are out of the question). The shower that leaks, so that the bathroom floor becomes soaked. The sink that no longer runs well. Too small and too low a toilet. Actually unworthy for a 5-star hotel. The morning of our departure - when checking out - we asked for a taxi to be ordered around 7 pm to take us to the airport. We needed a larger taxi, since we were 2 couples. And with 4 suitcases and hand luggage, a normal taxi was too small. They had assured us at the reception that this would be fine. However, there was no taxi at 7 pm. When complaining to the reception they told us that they don't reserve taxis for their customers ...... in the morning they say it will be fine, and in the evening they say they don't do anything for their customers. This was a complete disgrace. The fact that they do not make an effort for their customers to arrange a taxi in a 5-star hotel is below average. Again: a shame! And the worst thing is that they say it's okay, while they don't do anything behind the customers. Fortunately there was the enormous friendly man who took care of the luggage, who was able to quickly call a taxi by telephone, so that we - with some delay - got to the airport on time. But this scandal is something I will not forget, and if we are going to book back at this hotel next time, I have to think about it again.
