Perfect place for short stay when visiting Family in Asnieres

2 nights with breakfast, for my wife and I, and one daughter ( adult) in another room. Convient location nr Gare d'Asnières, and easy walk to family in Asnières. Quiet location. Clean basic room, comfy bed, but very tight bathroom and shower. Good standard Ibis sgyles breakfast, but with exceptionnel homemade cooking. I thought that the staff, and particularly resto staff were really nice and helpull.

The hotel is about a 5 min walk from Asnieres train station, with trains every 10 mins or so to Gare St Lazare. All the staff we met in the hotel were always very cheerful and very helpful. Our room was on the 5th floor - plenty of space, loads of hot water, and a bath as well as a shower (a real plus for me!!). We would have liked a cupboard for clothes, though the wardrobe was OK. Breakfast was very good and varied, though no hot food (apart from the toasting machine. What we Brits missed was 'proper' tea. There were about 6 barrels containing a variety of tea (Earl Grey, Peppermint etc etc), but no black tea (often called English Breakfast). The coffee was good, and the real plus was the orange press. We could definitely recomment this if you are in this part of Paris.

Bad stay by rude staff

The experiences that I had with the staff was horrendous. The breakfast was empty most of the time. We did stay 5 day in the hotel for our 20 year anniversary. It has been spoild by Stefanie. She ask my husband not to take soo much food as she did not had time to prepare for other guests. He had two mini croissants and 2 mini chocolate au pain on his plate as all the other plate on the buffet were empty. There was only french bread and jam marmalade and Nutella on the table. On the 5th day. The was almost nothing. We did pay for our breakfast in advance. The was no apologies. We did complain but still no answer. Stefano mentioned that she receive the complaint but we did not received any communication back. The rooms were fine. But our stay has been destroyed by the rude staff.

Dear Madam Sorry for the late reply, I'm just back from vacation. I am sincerely sorry that you did not understand the approach of my receptionist. she asked you, quietly, to serve at the buffet as you go in order to avoid a mess. Our breakfast is served mostly in bulk to avoid too much waste. Like many other customers, you tended to serve yourself a lot of food and not eat it all, the other days. That’s why she asked you that. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding that upset you. Stephanie is a confirmed receptionist who is highly appreciated by our customers, you can see it in the feedback from our customers. Everyone's priority is to produce as little waste as possible and to be reasonable in their consumption. Moreover, a campaign to this effect will appear in our hotels. I think you have had plenty of breakfast and slept well. You will understand that I cannot therefore make any refunds. Best regards

We managed to park right outside the hotel which was a good start. The room was compact but met our needs - comfortable bed, good shower. Nice buffet breakfast with attentive staff. Our group made use of the reception area and ordered drinks. Extremely well located for visiting in Asniere and travelling into Paris. Will stay again!
