The lady at counter was unwelcoming and aggressive. Mini-bar was joke and quite misleading. Serving water in mini is just an insult.

All staffs are very friendly and professional and all the facilities are easily accessible, especially the car parking area.

Hotel clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. Bedroom far too warm. The air conditioning had been turned off for the winter and staff could not change this. No source of water on the lower floor for washing hands after using the toilet, filling the kettle etc. Poorly designed apartments, not very practical.

I was very disappointed with the standard of the hotel considering how much it cost. Our first room had a broken blind, a dirty kettle, and a huge gap down the side of the shower door meaning that the bathroom flooded each time we took a shower. It was a family suite, but there was no bath, and the sliding bathroom door was so unbelievably heavy even I couldn’t open and close it, so the children had no chance. Still we were only there for two nights so thought we’d put up with it. That night, the hotel, and the street outside, was VERY noisy. I couldn’t sleep. And then in the early morning our neighbours’ children got up before us, and were so loud, the fixtures in our room were rattling, and it sounded as though they were in the room with us! There was obviously no soundproofing. I complained to the front desk (the staff were very friendly, polite and professional) and was transferred to a quieter part of the hotel. The new room was certainly quieter but the bed was not properly made, the kettle broken on the top, only two cardboard cups and one milk provided, the carpet hadn’t been hoovered, the blind was broken, and we had the same issue with the almost immovable bathroom door. The staff were helpful and the location great, however we paid an awful lot of money for a room that was merely functional, and overall a disappointing experience.

« Novotel in rennes-Not as expected. »

The room and the bed were quite confortable. However the washing basin was blocked and the water drainage was extremely slow. They had also forgotten glasses in the bathroom. We needed parking for our automobile and we picked this hotel based on the information on existing paying parking at the hotel. Public parking was not an option for us and we had expressed that in the booking. But when we arrived at dinner time there was no available parking space. After negotiation we were allowed to use a reserved parking space. We had dinner at the hotel and remarkebly the waiter could not give any information about some of the components of the menu of the day (that was handwritten with spelling mistakes). The soup was presented as a gaspacho, but in fact it was a very waterly water melon soup that was extremely sweet. The rest of the meal was also disapointing. The ambiance at breakfast was stressful and the buffet area become too crowded. The waiter used a lot of cleaning spray when cleaning the tables, and the spray had a very strong smell and could potentially cause allergy or an asthma attack. We finished the breakfast as quickly as we could.

« Perfect family stop-over »

The family suite was ideal with extra space, 2 showers, separate w.c. etc. Parking was easy and the place is a short walk from what you might want to see on a one night stopover. Lovely pool / spa which is fun for all the family. Lovely staff, too. It is a smart and fresh hotel but not so smart that you can't wear flip flops. Perfectly located for those that would struggle to pack up camp in Southern Brittany and make it up to the ferry port in time to drive home in a single day.

We were in roomnumber 114: the reservation was excellent we recieved even a very good support form the reception. Our arrival was perfect. We pre-order meal, we had a meal but the service was far away from professional. Waiters were running around without any structure. We just recieved the board to order and nothing for the kids. Once 10 O'clock was there we really feeled that we have to move. The bill was not correct they charge us the drinks for the kids who was included in the kids menu. We went to reception to complain off course, because restaurant was closed. The person at the reception was polite and helpful and to apologies him, he gave us the drink for free with as comment "the wine is not a big deal for us". Fine. The day after we had a very professional person at the reception, it was a lady, she was only there since 3 months and normal she is doing commercials for the hotel. She was helpful understand us very well. Also helpful in giving advises about the city and trips around, she was great to talk with also. After our day spend in Rennes, we went back to the room, surprise only the groundfloor and bathroom was done, the bed upstairs wasn't done. We don't saw that as a big deal but 2nd issue in two days. Finally we share it with the lady at the reception and she feel sad for us. The day after is was solved the room was perfect. We saw also some improvement in the restaurant during breakfast. Especially when the black guy was there, he was excellent, he saw work and could managed everything together with the young lady there. It's an excellent hotel on a perfect location with very good accommodations, a excellent reception staff. Some improvement on the restaurant part and more accurate in cleaning the room. I will advise your hotel anyway, taking into account that some improvement will be done.

« WIFI not working - nice spa - room service not available »

overall a nice stay - room are not very big but practical - WIFI did not work at any time - and room service was not available when we wanted to order (23.10 and the room service menu was mentioning till midnight) reason given: "not available during Summer" ... (seriously?!) the pool is small but nice and in good condition, get crowded quickly. accepting babies with swimmers (not my taste).

I had sustained a torn calf muscle and damaged tendon.My experience was limited because I was confined to the bed with my leg elevated.I needed ice and the wonderful staff were happy to get a bag when my wife went downstairs to get it.

The front desk personnel (one young woman, mostly) were excellent. Our room was attractive and spacious. The location was perfect for our needs, and the parking arrangements were convenient. Breakfast was well above average. This is a very attractive property in a great location.
